I have always enjoyed tatsu...the sushi is great and their spicy shrimp fried rice is amazing!!!!! it is conveniently accessible for UIC students, but is a nice sit-down restaurant with great atmosphere and service as well.

We were very happy with all the food choices at the Tatsu Sushi Bar. Pretty diverse in the menu. They use fresh ingrediants in a variety of ways you normally don't see.

We tried every appetizer on the menu and we'd order every one again. The sushi was super fresh, the vegetables in the rolls were flavorful enough to make even those rolls disappear immediately, and the dragon roll had a dragon head made out of wasabi that was worth ordering just for the sight of it (it tasted wonderful, too). We have no idea why the place is so empty - it's a great date spot. We'll go again and again.

I ordered dinner from Tatsu recently and was pleased with my meal. Delivery took about 20 minutes to South Damen. The spring rolls were just okay -- they could have used some protein though, and for $3, the portion was very small. I also had the Rama (steamed broccoli with peanut sauce) with tofu; it was delicious but there was not enough rice for the entire dish; the sauce is really thick and it really needs the rice to balance it out. Overall, a good experience, and I would definitely consider ordering from here again and trying some of the other dishes.

This is my favorite restaurant for the past 3 years.I have to go there every week. My favorite dish is the Tatsu Fried Rice and cann't forget the most delicious Crab Rangoon for my appetizer. I love their Sushi bar very much I can just sit there for an hours and keep enjoying my meal. The Giant Maki,Sunset Maki and Superman Maki are my favorite Rolls and their Huge thick and fresh Sashimi always make my day.I also a Sake drinker always have sake with my sushi their sake list is just perfect. The service is really nice and friendly.I definitely give Tatsu a highly recommended score.

I don't know how come this place is not busy as it should be.I've been eating at Tatsu for a while love their Special Sushi roll especially my favorite "Giant Maki" and a huge, thick&juicy fresh Sashimi. Also the best fried rice I ever had in my life "TATSU fried rice" I'd love to explain how great it is but I have no idea how they make it.I cann't even explain about the price you can get the same quality with other high end sushi bar but pay less. The atmosphere is really cool you can go there with your date,a group of friend or with a family. The service is really friendly. If you're sick of waiting for an hour to get a table or looking for someting new, definitely recommend Tatsu........give it a shot and you'll love it.

Very fresh sushi. I just discovered this place, and it is very good and a truly excellent value. Superman roll is very good (shrimp, mango, avocado, tuna). Beer, wine and sake are also available.

I have got to say this is one of the very few sushi places around the UIC campus and it is also the worst I have been to. The restaurant is almost always empty and it takes forever to recieve the order. They just dont seem to know the essence of sushi and therefore it doesn't appeal to the customers. It just isnt that good.
