I have been using Heavenly Massage both in Glenview and Mt. Prospect for about 5 years now. I only go for massages so I can't comment on the other services. I also only go when there is a coupon. I have never seen any type of sleazy service going on, men have been there but I never caught a hint of sexual activity. They were just sitting in the waiting room with the other clients. I will say that the massage therapists do differ in their 'technique' so some massages are better than others. I never usually make an appointment, I just call and ask when the first available is and usually I get something within half an hour of making the call. I do sometimes wonder if the time of the massage is actually the full 60 or 90 minutes. Sometimes it seems to go short and I think they figure in the steam/shower time. I bring my own shampoo as the stuff they have in the dispenser doesn't seem to lather all that well. I really never have had any complaints about the therapists nor the atmosphere of the company itself. I have been to other massage places and they all seem pretty comparable, just utilitarian places to get a little muscle stretching.

I've been going to Heavenly Massage in Mt. Prospect for deep tissue massages for over a year or so. I go to see Mary, who is unbelievable. I have fibromyalgia, so I basically live in pain and she has helped relieve lower back pain and headaches. However, reading Patricia H's email about sexual favors?? That kind of concerns me. How do you know if that is truly going on there, as all of the massage rooms are private. I have seen men there quite often, but men need massage too, and not just the happy ending kind. If I find out that this is in fact true, I won't be returning, but I would need proof.

I've been going to Heavenly Massage (Morton Grove) for 3 years for mostly pedicures. I do not get manicures and pedicures there for reasons others have cited (doing a manicure leaning to one side while getting a pedicure is NOT relaxing) so I either request these services separately (costs extra!) or skip the manicure all together. What I find that is for $30 pedicure, it's fine. I had a great woman doing my pedicures for these three years and she took her time, rubbed my legs and feet and it was actually relaxing (although I always kept my iPod on because the place itself is not a "spa" in any way and the bad radio music was annoying). Unfortunately, my favorite pedicurist moved back to Poland so I went through several others until I found one that was somewhat (although not totally) comparable to my former pedicurist. What I found is the quality of the service here is wide and varied. Once I found someone that is relatively "good" I ask for her only. If you want a truly relaxing and good service pedicure (and/or manicure) go to a real spa or even Tricocci -- otherwise, this is totally fine for $30 plus tip!

DO NOT GO TO HEAVENLY MASSAGE!

Had a massage at the Buff Grv location. There were 3 customer svc people at the front desk, all of whom were gossiping with a male customer by shouting across the "relaxing" waiting room. I wasn't asked to complete a new client intake (medical history) which is required for certified massage therapists - and, unfortunately, didn't notice at first because I was so put off by the customer "service." I was injured during the massage and spent many, many hours trying to speak to a manager to get my money back (not to mention medical bills paid). In 8 attempts, no one would give me any info to escalate my complaint to the GM/Owner, Jimmy Bakopoulos, or anyone else. Finally, at the owner's instruction, they informed me they wouldn't give me a refund unless I signed a document stating I'd received the refund (how's that for a catch-22?) and a waiver releasing them from responsibility. I've filed a complaint with BGPD, the Natl Massage certifying board, the Better Businss Bureau, and the Village of BG.

Spa that preforms illegal activities. Boycott this business. Businessmen go here for "massages" for $70, and get sexual favors in return. Please, if you have any morals, boycott this business and put it out business.

As I was checking in and paying for my service couple weeks ago I found the front desk girl to be very rude who was speaking a different language to another employee who happend to be working on someones nails. She was yelling acoss the salon speaking a different language. I asked her who is the manager of this spa and she repiled with attitude ""I am the manager"". This wasn't the first time and its always the same girl that I see speaking a language other than english. I have been a customer of the spa for about a year now. I dont think speaking a different language in front of clients is professional. Blowing kisses across the salon is also very unprofessional. As we all know heavenly massage is famous for its name but I do not recomment the Mount Prospect location. For those who dont know there are other locations.

I went to get a facial in nov. 2007. Her name was Marta and she did a great job. Very relaxing and professional. Would definitely go again and ask for her.

I went to Heavenly Massage with 2 of my girlfriends. One of my friends and I got the deep tissue massages, which were everything we wanted. The other friend got a manicure and pedicure. The nail polish smudged 3 hours after getting home. 2 days later all of the polish had peeded off. If you are looking for a place to get a massage, this is the place, but for anything else, keep looking.

On Friday, July 20, 2007 I arrived at Heavenly Massage & Spa for a Pedicure/Manicure appointment that was made a week earlier. I was taken into this room where a number of people were already being given pedicures. As soon as I sat in the pedicure chair to soak my feet, a chair was brought to my left hand side. (Since I've had many pedicure/manicures before, this definitely was confusing. Also, not one other client had a chair on their left hand side. They were first given a pedicure and then a manicure) This chair was placed there so that I could have my manicure at the same time as my pedicure. I was very disappointed having a manicure/pedicure together. When you go for a pedicure and a manicure you want to relax and enjoy both treatments. I would never recommend this spa to any person who really enjoys being pampered with the correct treatment. The only way I would recommend this spa to anyone is If they were in a hurry and had less then an hour to spend, then the Heavenly Massage and Spa is the place for them, but I'll never go back.

I have to tell you that I am disappointed in the service my daughter and I received at the establishment on Rand Road in Mount Prospect on Sunday, April 1st. We made appointment for 3:00 and on our way in from the city, where we live, we had picked up a beverage and magazines to sit and enjoy as we relaxed with our pedicures. When we got there, we were walked into a room with many spa chairs as the girl pointed to one side of the room. I asked her if I should sit in the chair and she continued to say no, and pointing to the wall. I finally figured out that she wanted us to pick out a nail polish. What is so hard about saying "Pick a polish?" Finally they sat us in the spa chairs, which I was hoping that it would be more private, but it was out in the open like the typical "Chinese chop shop". The water was nice as I submerged my feet and before I could get comfortable with my magazine, she started doing the pedicure, I barely soaked my feet. My daughter got the same treatment and we barely got to soak our feet at all. A manicurist came over and sat down by me and another sat down by my daughter and started the manicure. I questioned this, I asked, "Aren't you going to do the manicure at a table?" and she said, No, I am going to do it right here." I spent my entire pedicure trying to balance a manicure bowl on the arm of the spa chair. I was appalled. There was no relaxing at all. I was leaning over when she was doing my right hand the whole time and when she wasn't filing one hand, the other was soaking... so the drinks we bought just sat there. As soon as my feet came out of the water, the pedicurist started changing the water and sanitizing the foot bath. In between procedures, she would wipe out, spray sanitizer or rinse out the bath while I was still getting worked on. They we all taking out garbage, sanitizing their files and cleaning up the whole time we were there, I asked what time they stayed open, cause I thought they were getting ready to close and the girl replied, 7:00...........I was like, "Wow! What's with the rush job then?"
I was also concerned about my manicure when the girl continues asking other girls for the white nail polish, because the one she had was too thin, another was too thick and finally the third bottle was the one she finally used when she was already about done. Needless to say, the white from my French manicure has been chipped away and looks terrible and it's only been 2 days.
My daughter and I both agreed that it wasn't a good experience at all.....we didn't even get the leg massage. We paid over 100.00 on what we could have gotten for 30.00 each at a little corner shop......but with a leg massage and our heels scraped. This was also our first time there, but we paid full price. I didn't know they had specials for first time customers until I saw the website.
Then to top it off, I had to tip 4 girls instead of 2 girls which I thought was unfair and unexpected. We were both done in 45 minutes. A manicure and a pedicure in 45 minutes is unheard of. As a licensed nail technician, I was taught that a pedicure should be a minimum of an hour.
I have to tell you that I gave Heavenly Massage great expectations because of the name and popularity, but I was sadly disappointed and I felt rushed out of the building. Not a good experience at all.

I used Heavenly Massage in Mt Prospect in February and it was great. I went back 3 months later and it was completely different. My massuese talked too much when I just wanted to enjoy my massage. My sciatic nerve has been messed up ever since. Went with my boyfriend both times - 1st time they allowed to use the shower room together which was wonderful - the second time they would not permit and would not give us any reason why. My shower was gross and dirty with a HUGE hairball. I wrote a letter to complain and never heard a single word back not even to apologize. I am so disappointed with this place b/c the 1st time was so great.

PROS: Affordable
CONS: Dirty

Well worth the visit, in my opinion. Great working hours, pleasant, courteous, and well-trained personnel, and the whole entire place just looks great in general! There are many options to choose from, enough to satisfy your every need, and the prices will absolutely not put a dent in your pocket.

My friend and I came here for a girls day out and loved it. It is very reasonably priced. For the price of a massage in the city, we got a full mani/pedi, a massage and a facial. Everything was really efficient and the services were good. There are no extra perks, like a sauna, but for the price this place is definately worth it.

PROS: Good Value for money
CONS: Provides only basic services not luxury extras
