Our waiter introduced himself, then never returned to take our order. We waited for 30 minutes before flagging down the hostess to tell her that we where leaving. The dining room was less than half full, and there seemed to be plenty of waiters to serve other patrons, who did receive service after being seated after us.

Pros: Nice Decor

Cons: Very Poor Service

Went there as I was at a Customer Summit hosted by our software vendor at the Westin. Went to the "No Name Lounge" after a daily session and was told we wouldn't even be able to get a drink until at least 5:30, as staff were "in a meeting". What kind of restaurant has the cojones to do that to customers? Then, we decided to eat there and have lighter fare, as our company won't approve $40 steaks. When the appetizer came (BBQ Shrimp), it was cold, overdone and tough. We then ordered burgers, thinking a steakhouse couldn't mess that up. Wrong. I wanted mine Rare, was told that meant a cold red center, almost raw, so I relented and asked for Medium Rare, told that was a warm red center. Got my burger ($15 btw), and they had overcooked it so badly, I could barely get a bite out of the edge. Had to wait almost 15 minutes for the waitress to show up, and she acknowledged the issue, offered to bring me another, but as my Partner ordered his Medium and got it WellDone, had about finished, and I was not in the mood to have them take another shot at it - if they blew it that badly, they have a McDonalds' grade burger flipper burning $15 burgers. We settled for having a round of drinks taken off our bill. In addition to the botched food, I was not impressed with the waitresses nonchalance about the whole thing. I've been at places spending much less and had the manager show up tableside to make sure I knew they were aware they had a problem. Never again.

Pros: Fun decor - football pictures and footballs

Cons: Poor food prep, indifferent service, ridiculous prices

Finally had a chance to go as a business perq. Mixed feelings about it. Definitely more of a male oriented restaurant - no surprise.

First, as they claim their beef is about as good as I have ever had. They should be commended for achieving this quality level, kudos to those Angus, too! Steaks are very large, and are a meal in themselves. Trouble is everything else is very large sized. A meal more designed for a football player. No one in our group could finish what they ordered or even sample the other items in front of them. I prefer to finish a meal, have my belt in the same position as when I came in, and feel satisfied w/o the 'doggy' bag.

Restaurant is dark. One is shown the doneness of their steak by flashlight.

Deserts are weak.

It's a restaurant of extremes. Fantastic beef and Mediocre everything else. Note: The creamed spinach was an exception.

Shula's is a resturant that was opened by Don Shula and his sons. It's a very nice setting which borders to upscale. The food I though was average at best. They also have memorabilia of Don Shula in the front enterance. The staff was very nice and friendly. I only went during lunch so maybe their dinner is better. It's located inside Windham Hotel and is their main resturant for this hotel. Nice decor, good staff but average food.

In Short
The chop house's elegance is indisputable, yet there is an oddly casual spirit to a place in which the menu is written on a football and set at your table on a kicking tee. Certified Angus Beef doesn't come cheap, and…
