Best darn burgers around, decent pizza and wings too. Not for the high-brow crowd, but overall a neat place reminiscent of the old Come Back Inn in Melrose Park.

The Cottage is a neighborhood bar with pretty good food. Their thin crust pizza is popular, but they offer other great menu items as well. It's a great place to watch a game, and you can also reserve their back room for parties.

The Cottage is a friendly, unpretentious little pub that makes you feel welcome the second you step inside. They offer a pretty good selection of beers, have daily specials and make some good bar grub too. It has a kind of a north-woods decor and the free popcorn and peanuts is a comforting reminder of the bars of yesteryear. The owners and bartenders are great people and the regulars are friendly folks!

Pros: Friendly, rustic atmosphere

Cons: A bit on the small size

This converted house is located at the entrance to downtown Crystal Lake, Illinois. There is usually a Cubs, Bulls or Blackhawks game on the TV. They specialize in thin crust pizza and is a favorite of the locals.
