We love Sentry, we too, live right down the street. Unfortunately unless you are willing to drive 10 minutes there is no other grocery store in this area. I absolutely HATE the new super Walmart, which is only about 5 mins away. Sentry has pretty much all you need for day to day life, at a reasonable price and the sales are really good. I hate these HUGE supermarkets where it takes fifteen minutes to search out one item. Sentry is a wonderful grocery store for those of us with disabilities that cannot walk through endless miles of products looking for just a few items. The store itself is neat and clean and the employees, though few, are very helpful. One time I needed a loaf of bakery bread sliced a certain way, NO problem. I have had no problem with unhappy employees...they might not be jumping for joy, but for the most part they have always been polite and I have no complaints regarding that. I have never heard anyone yelling across the store. We shop at this store several times a week. The parking lot however IS a mess....you can't see the lines, people park every which way and it doesn't have cart corals or any of the more modern type conveniences you find in the larger supermarkets. I will take that any day over the marathon style huge markets. This store is exactly like my mom shopped at when I was a child, when options were fewer, life was simpler and everything didn't become a fiasco! It is a basic GROCERY store, not a drug store, clothing store, auto parts store, etc. all rolled in one. Also, in this economy, I like the idea of keeping our tax dollars in our community....people need to remember the importance of supporting local commerce!!

The employees at this store always seem very unhappy. Supervisors/Managers yell acroos the store at employees. The parking lot is disgusting - does anyone ever pick up cigarrette butts?

I live just down the block from Sentry. I only go there if I've run out of something or if they have something I need on sale. There are better options in the area though.

Pros: They have my favorite coffee

Cons: Decor is a bit dated

Sentry Foods has the best prices for a small, local grocery. The store is well kept and you will find most of what you need here. The meat and produce department may be lacking if you are looking for different kinds of products. However, your basic essentials are all there.
