Very unprofessional in how they handle their customers. Went for dinner on a Thursday evening using a Groupon. On Thursdays martinis are half price. When we arrived at the restaurant I informed the manager at that time that I was using

A group of us decided to celebrate a friends birthday this morning by having breakfast at FLAVOR Restaurant. The owner was very personable and even came out to have a conversation with our party. Shortly after we got our food a friend who ordered the CHICKEN and WAFFLES, noticed that her fried chicken was not cooked properly. The chicken was completely RAW once she cut into it. We asked for the manager, (Cassie) who came over and in fact was surprised herself at the raw piece of meat. She said" I'm sorry I bring you another piece of chicken but I will not replace the waffle because you have eaten half of it. So take whatever you want off the plate and I will bring you only a piece of chicken". We were in complete shock at her idea of a solution. We asked if she could replace the waffle along with the chicken so that she could eat the chicken and waffle together. She explained that it was the restaurants policy to only replace the single item that was unsatisfactory.
Ok..i'm not in the restaurant business but anyone knows that RAW UNCOOKED CHICKEN is dangerous and is a breeding ground for FOOD BACTERIA POISIONING.
We asked for the owner but was told that she went home for the day. We pleaded to talk to anyone else who could make a more smarter and wiser decision. Cassie the manager insisted that the half eaten waffle on the contaminated plate be transferred onto a saucer for my friend to finish eating. She simply stated, again that's our policy, there is nothing else I can do for you and we were handed a bill for $89.00. We planned for this outing all week WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

This restaurant located in flossmoor, Il is absolutely wonderful.The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is inviting. The atmosphere is nice (cozy) and live jazz music is available on Thursday and Friday evenings. They also host open mic poetry sets as well. From the food to the music, Flavor is worth the experience

FIRST OF ALL THEY POST ON CRAIGSLIST SAYING THEY NEED A SERVER, YOU WORK FOR HOURS AND THEY DONT PAY YOU. YOU GO TO FIND THE MANAGER AND THEY AVOID YOU, YOU CALL AND THEY AVOID YOU. Myself and five girlfriends visited Flavor for the first time. The atmospere was very personal and I was also very impressed with our server, the problems came with the drink order. My girlfriend ordered a Cosmo which wasn't a specialty on the menu while I ordered a Washington Apple martini which was on the menu. When I received my drink it was not very flavorful and very strong. I also had my girlfriend sip and she didn't like it either. My girlfriend was satisfied with her drink which I sipped and enjoyed. I was asked what could be done to fix my drink and I asked if I could have a Cosmo instead. Shortly after, a woman walked over to the table with a bottle in her hand. She stated ,"there was a problem with your drink?" I responded by saying that it didn't taste like an apple martini and it wasn't very flavorful. She then stated " Ok, but whats wrong with the drink." I was suprised and before I could respond she lifted the bottle in her hand and informed me that it was what she used to make the martini and it was the Washington apple flavoring. I was under the impression that because the mix was red that she somehow believed that I didn't know that an apple could come in any color other than green and maybe thats why I didn't want it. I responded to her display by saying, "It was just nasty". She then stated "so that you know, we don't take drinks back here but I will this time" and walked off. My girlfriends and I were appalled. I asked the waitress, unknowing of what occurred, if there were a manager or the owner available. She identified the very unplesant person who had just left the table as the "OWNER". It was very suprising that a business woman who had a table of six ordering meals and drinks would treat her customers in this manner and since she is probably NOT a bartender she could have possibly made the drink wrong. We will never visit this place again and the next time she sends her employees to customer service training, SHE should join them!

I went to Flavor restaurant not so long ago and my meal was delicious! I ordered the jerk chicken with cheese grits and have been going back for more every since.
Absolutely recommend this meal if nothing else.

First time patrone of this relaxed & casual dining location, warm welcome at entrance, comfy cozy atmosphere, suitable customer service, great jazz band. Outsatnding cornbread, pecan stuffed chicken very tasty....will dine again.

When someone named this restaurant "Flavor" boy, did they get it right. Everything you taste, from the warm rolls, buttermilk cornbread and cranberry butter all the way to the dessert which includes a new orleans bread pudding plated on a bed of whiskey sauce was devine. The service was fantastic, and the ambiance made it a great place for a date.

What can I say...I ordered a chicken dish. If you like unrecognizable, chopped up, yesterday's dish, unseasoned chicken, then this is the place for you. The rest of the table's dishes were - if you can believe it - worse. Our table ordered the jambalya,too. It was tasteless and similar to the chicken dish I ordered. It was absolutely terrible. The service was like molasses in winter. The thing that really got me were the prices of these entrees. They charge downtown prices for this slop. It's terrible! I have no idea why they would name this place flavor, when there is absolutely none.
