We were looking to purchase a used vehicle from Saab in Downers Grove. They brought the car to us to look at and it had approx 43 K on the car. 4 days later we go in to review it again virtually going to buy the car. We made a joke about you didn't rack up an more miles on it to which the RUDE salesman says its not your car until you buy it. We look at the mileage and its now almost 47K - HOLY COW. We took it for a test drive why they appraised our trade in. We noticed CD's all in the car, personal bags, sunglasses and paperwork. We though HMMM I wonder if the sales man is driving this car as his personal car. We get back and all the numbers for the purchase are so wrong - so we tell them that we have to pass on the purchase today. They actually YELLED at us. They kept the store open while we were looking and how dare we not purchase the car. The head sales guy starts closing the store like we were not even there and the little sales guy gets in the car in question and squeals his tires out of the lot - so now we see how good he is taking care of it and how it got 4000 extra miles in 4 days. Even if we would have reconsidered there is no way in HELL we will now. I cannot wait to tell everyone of this shady dealership that treats its customers so horrible.

Pros: None

Cons: Rude, Scam artists

.

purchased my car from these guys in dec 2007 and it was snowing heavily and I was in a hurry so I believed whatever they told me. Although, I drove the car I could not inspect properly. Now, its Aug and I already have three major issues with these guys:

1. When I was bargaining over the price, we decided they would replace a trim piece and we decided a price, which he (Jeremy- sales) wrote on a piece of paper. When I went back for the trim piece they said there is no proof they promised and I had to argue for a long time! They said I would have to pay for it (I finally agreed) but when I went to Bill Jacobs BMW dealer for a casual check, they changed the trim-piece without even telling me. I told them they didnt have to do it - they said "Customer Goodwill". Thats the difference between a good dealer and a bad one. Lesson # 1 learnt.

2. By summer the paint on the hood started to chip-off at many places. I went to Bill Jacobs again to check and they said the hood is duplicate and repainted! Thats why the paint is chipping off. Can you believe it? Saab guys had hidden the fact that the vehicle was in an accident affecting the hood to the extent they had to change it. Lesson # 2 learnt.

3. Chris from the finance department at Saab told me I should go back after 5-6 months for a refinancing. If I give him a call he will take care of me. Now, I have been trying to reach him - called in at least 15-20 times, left over 5-6 voice messages and an email to Customer Service. But I know they will never call back. Lesson # 3 learnt.

My sincere suggestion, even though the car may cost a little less intially don't be tricked into buying it from them or any dealer of this kind. It's better to pay those extra bucks and do business with trustable people. Because the good people deserve that business, they work hard to achieve that reputation. Saab Downers Grove - Hell NO! Thanks for reading, Good Luck!

Pros: Price

Cons: Their cars are from auctions - accidental vehicles more often than not!

This dealership is the worst one i have ever been to.. Even though i did purchase a vehicle from here because it had a decent price at the time. The vehicle turned out to be a Lemon.. I learned my lesson, it was a pretty expensive one... I would NEVER EVER do it again.. I wish i can return the one i bought just so that i woudnt have to deal with them ever again.. They have the worst customer service that i have ever seen, extremely rude.. Mostly the manager Tony,, he is the most ignorant, condescending, rude, sarcastic, snob that i have ever met. I hope this review prevents at least one person from having to go through the trouble that i have gone through.
