Besides singing songs, crafting, and talking about different animals, we’ll also bring in pictures of our pets, make our own animal sounds and movements, and incorporate animals into cognitive, literacy, and mathematic learning appropriate for each age group. For example, the older children in Discovery Preschool will count goldfish crackers or spots on a dog, while the littlest ones will keep developing their senses by sorting and playing with stuffed animals that have different kinds of pretend fur. This is a very sweet and fun unit for children in each class!&nbsp;</p><p><!--block--><strong>Children 4–5 years old: The Sky and Weather + My Imagination</strong></p><p><!--block-->The four- and five-year-olds will turn their attention to the sky and explore the bounds of their own imaginations this month. Children will learn how clouds and different kinds of weather are created, and do fun theme-related activities like create whipped-topping storm clouds or pretend to be a weather reporter. Our Transitional Kindergarten class will take their learning even farther by doing basic research into how rainbows are formed. The second half of the month will give children a big chance to express themselves through art, music, and drama. We’ll use classic stories like <em>The Three Little Pigs </em>to spark children’s creativity and see where their imaginations lead. As always, we weave our themes into literacy and math activities, and place a focus on building both English and Spanish vocabulary. i</p>

    We have 2 kids at Kindercare & love it! Both teachers & administrative work hard to make both kids and parents feel at home. An outstanding center that really has been organized and run with the right attitude starting from day one.

    PROS: Very caring & dedicated staff, newer facilities, very understanding
    CONS: Entrance only from North Ave, which may be busy depending on day/time
