This is one of my favorite bars. Stiff drinks. Decent prices. Dark. A bit dank. I like the staff. The crowd is just fine with me - the yuppies havent cheapened it and the hipsters you love to hate seem to remain content with Rainbo. We all win.

This bar is the best place in the neighborhood. Well priced beverages and bartenders that serve you with a smile not an attitude. Sure it's dark. How do you think the casinos in Vegas stay in business. and just like Vegas this bar is the home of Elvis. Posters, prints and velvet Elvis' abound. The owner kinda looks like the king and will buy a drink for most of the pretty girls that walk in. Open mic on Thursdays and Sundays is good time or miss(most open mikes are), but Tuesdays are alway a blast. They have a great DJ that spins everything from Country, funk, jazz, rock, indie and the King. The Pool table is free so make sure you sign up early on the board to ensure you play. Stop into this place and don't be afraid to talk to the person next to you. The regulars are alway friendly.

This is Home for all rivet hads and oil junkies.. Great Beer Prices - Smokey 1900 - 2005 atmosphere .. The regulars make you feel welcome unlike some bars that are in the same local .. Bartenders are friendly ..Open Mic nits on Sundays 10 PM -1 AM .. Certain Sundays you can see Just released DVDs on the Big Screen TV .. Home of the MOOR GREEN F.C. From Birmingham England , and if you stop in in January they hold the Annual Chili Brag off thats held on the last NFL Playoff game before the Super Bowl
What can you say thats bad about this place NOTHING .... BTW its a CUBS and BEARS bar and GP Racing .. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is a great little hole-in-the-wall off the beaten path! It's the perfect place to see real Wicker Park Hipsters in their natural setting. The staff is quite friendly. The atmosphere is completely unpretentious. The decor is tacky and amusing--it's great. It looks like it just accumulated over the years--not like someone purposely tried to make it look like that. It's kinda like your grandma's basement. The beers are a little bit cheaper than other, more pretentious bars. I recommend the PBR.

The architecture is at least 70 years old, the bartenders are young, good-looking and friendly (not to meantion generous), the pool table is free and the crowd is eclectic and friendly. For your dollar and your spirit, this is one of the best places in town, let alone in the WickerBuckVillage area. Great juke, great people. Your reviewer is dead wrong, the only 'stench' is from the occasional neo-yuppie stinking up the place, but most of them know better.

In Short
Only the occasional sliver of natural light manages to penetrate the dark interior of this treasure box of smoke-layered tchotchkes. A speakeasy during Prohibition days, the place has been kept alive by its neighborhood…
