There is so much to find at Market Basket. There is a grocery store as well as all of your landscaping needs. It's great to find all of these items in one place.

As the other reviews have said, Market Basket is a great place for landscaping supplies, flowers, and plants. We also tend to pick bird seed there. As for the people food, the basic grocery selection is limited and a little pricey. They Boar's Head meats and cheese are still pricey (as anywhere), but worth the occassional stop IMO. Market Basket also offers rotisserie chickens for a quick, inexpensive dinner.

It's an indoor-outdoor store with a concrete floor, but I've never found it to be dirty. Likewise, the produce is fine, and they even sell local corn in season. My main peeve is the attitude of the high school girls who tend the work the cash registers; they seem to find customer service to be quite the inconvenience.

I agree, I would never go grocery shopping for food there. However, they have a terrific selection of bushes/trees/plants/flower/etc. Their prices are more reasonable than some nurseries in the area. When we were finishing our landscaping, we had them deliver bricks & sand - were quite pleased with the service. I believe my husband also got rubber mulch from them to put below our son's playground equipment. The rubber mulch is wonderful - not hard & scratchy if it gets in your shoes!

Their pumpkins this fall weren't the best...but I'd definitely return to Market Basket for landscaping needs.

With Shop N Save and Schnucks down the road, I see no reason to ever stop at Market Basket. We made that mistake once because we saw the Boar's Head logo and assumed it would be a quality store. The produce was awful - literally moldy and shriveled brown lettuce was abound. The entire store smells awful, and the aisles of farm animal foods and products certainly don't help.
