Pat Trusty here. I've played this course since I was a wee lad. Some of my most fond childhood memories come from this course. The course has gone through some pretty drastic changes through the years. Now offering 27 holes is only the beginning (Opened in 2000, the year I won the club championship, sorry Mike had to get this in there). This past year (2007) is the best condition I have ever seen this course. From the stripe cut fairways to the overall great maintenance of the course, it is a truly fun place to relax and play golf. While the West course hasn't changed much over the years, the new North course can be quite a challenge from the back tee's (Don't worry, there is 4 set's of tee boxes.) I'm truly impressed at what an outstanding course this has become since the years of my youth and working there for over 7 years. It was always a nice course, but it is at a different level then it was years ago. I'd say in its top condition it rivals some of the nicest courses in the area, and for the $$$ it is by far the best deal out there. All levels of golfers will find just the right amount of challenge on all 27 holes because of the 4 different tee boxes. If you haven't played all 27, do so. Each 9 is uniquely different. The West nine (holes 1-9) is fairly wide open with wide forgiving fairways and large greens. The North nine (holes 10-18) is long from the back tee??s. This nine has few trees, but watch out for the 50 foot fescue covered berms (really it is only about 2 feet tall, but only Tiger can hit out of that stuff without breaking his arm). Well placed tee shots are a must. The East nine (19-27, the original nine holes) winds through a heavily treed creek bottom. Two words ??absolutely beautiful? back there. Again, well placed tee shots are a must and most of the smaller greens are crowned. A little tip for this nine, ??Leave the driver in the bag until #16.? Too all the OBD's out there and the Suhre's (my second family), keep up the good work.

This golf club is just fantastic; set right outside of Edwardsville, few seem to know of OakBrook and for that reason it is relatively easy to play a quick round here during the week. Cost here is also quite low; it is under $15 to play and rent a cart even as a nonmember. Membership fees are right around $1000 per year. Course itself is well-maintained and staff very friendly...they can't make you a great golfer, but they certainly do a nice job making this a comfortable place to enjoy the sport.

This is our new favorite golf club, after almost five years of investigating local options. The price is very affordable and the course incredibly maintained. Oak Brook has plenty of space in what is a rapidly growing county, allowing golfers to work on both their drives and short game. It is a well kept secret in the local area, and I almost hesitate in giving it rave reviews - that is how well we enjoy playing here.
