THE WORST THAI FOOD EVER
by joelnbecky2001
My Dad and I ate here and I would say this is the most disguisting food I have ever had. The soup tasted like toilet water and the spring rolls taste like pencil led. It looks like rodents are there at nights and It is at a horrible location on Addison. No parking and just overall nasty. Who ever says this is good thai food has not gone to a real Thai Restaurant, please try a different Thai restaurant.
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything

The worst Thai food experience ever
by dawordman
Manee Thai was the best in the neighborhood - they recently burned down. I was forced to go to this SIAM Noodle. Much closer than Manee Thai was but just looks dingy.
The spring rolls were bathed in brown gelatinous muck that had the look and feel and texture of morning after sputum from a derelict?s throat.
When they brought the clean ones back there was virtually nothing inside the "skin" except for a slice of cucumber and a slip of dried pork. Should have left but was hungry.
The service was - at best abysmal. They got angry when I asked for extra napkins and they weren't too quick with the water pitcher. It was two old men who couldn?t have cared less for us or our needs as diners.
WE WERE THE ONLY ONES IN THE PLACE.
When the food came - it was decent - but nothing that recommended a return trip. Then the smoke alarm began to go off.
Loud and shrill it cut right through. They all looked at the thing stuck there on the wall and giggled. Very odd that no one thought - for the longest time to remove it - or to apologize to us for having to deal with it.
I am very sad that I have a Thai restaurant 100 yards from my front door that I will never return to... This place is the worst!
Pros: close by
Cons: food and service are terrible

FORGET OPART THAI HOUSE, GO HERE !!!!!!!!!!!
by usurper
I RECENTLY MOVED INTO THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND ORDERED THE TOM YUM SOUP ONE NIGHT FOR TAKE OUT. IT WAS EXCELLENT, NOT THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD BUT PRETTY DARN GOOD. THE NEXT TIME I HAD THE CHICKEN PAD THAI, BY FAR THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD !!!!!!! MORE THAN ENOUGH THIN SLICED JUICY CHICKEN, TON'S OF NOODLES, CABBAGE, FRESH SPROUTS, CILANTRO AND LIME. NOT GREASY AT ALL !!!! I SIMPLY CANNOT STAND THE GREASY PAD THAI THAT SOO MANY THAI PLACES SERVE. A HUGE PORTION TOO SAY THE LEAST. I CANNOT WAIT TO TRY THE CRAZY NOODLES THIS WEEKEND. THE DECOR IS NOT THAT GREAT, BUT IF YOU WANT GREAT NON GREASY THAI FOOD, AND VERY AUTHENTIC THAN TRY THIS PLACE. I USED TO THINK OPART WAS THE BEST, BUT THE PORTIONS GOT SMALLER, GREASY AND INCONSISTENT.. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: EXCELLENT AUTHENTIC NON GREASY THAI FOOD, FRIENDLY WAITSTAFF!!!!!!
Cons: SUB PAR DECOR,

The best!

My wife and I live two blocks from here and this is our local restaurant. We eat here at least twice a week. The food is outstanding, the ingredients are fresh and the service is friendly. The decor is not much to look at, but this is simply the best Thai food in Chicago. And the prices are scandalously low. You feel bad paying so little for such a huge and delicious meal. Awesome! Try: Spicy Crazy Noodles, Penang and any of the Catfish curries.
Pros: Food, Service, Price
Cons: Decor, Ambience, Location
