I have taken my oldest son there. I absolutely loved it! The teachers were great and he learned A TON! They are structured and have certain times they do different activities. All children need structure and this provided it during one of the most stressful transitions in his life.

I was really considering taking my child here, but after the comments made by: If you don't like it LEAVE by Anonymous...... I can tell there are some issues here. You must be an employee, a member of the church, or maybe you just really like this place. Whatever the case may be, your opinions are very offensive. Everyone who leaves comments here has a right to say whatever they want. If you are upset with what they have to say, you can simply defend the day care, you don't have to get personal. That doesn't portray a very positive christian attitude. To quote you: "If you want a cheaper sitter, grab the granny next door. She'll let them play in the medicine cabinet while her soaps are on." also "It is not a place to dump your kids while you run off to live lives in the "adult world." and again..."Or, stop paying it and leave your kid(s) with someone who will dump them in front of a TV all day and feed them chips for lunch." I only need a part time sitter, and I don't have much money. I wouldn't be able to afford this place even if I thought my child would benefit. My mother in law watches my child while I go to school and she would never do the things that you mentioned, nor do I dump my kid off with her in order to play in the "adult world". How rude of you say something like that. However, everyone has an opinion so... although I think my child would benefit so much by being at a place like this, I'll pass and take my chances with potato chips and tv from granny. At least then, I know I won't have to deal with parents who are more judgemental than non christian parents!

I have a son that goes to this day care. I like this place, it has taught him alot . there is one thing I dont like about it, that is the ladies decide they want to go shopping the day after thanksgiving so they close daycare and we still get stuck with the bill, they want July 3 off we get stuck with the bill. I can understand taking off for the holidays with no complaints, but when we still have to work and then we have to pay another sitter and pay them to go shopping thats not right.
other than that I love the place.

The teachers are great, my children learned an exceptional amount but they want an arm and leg for tutition. If you are late, they will kick your child out. Everything about the daycare was excellent except the price. You have to either be really rich or really poor and get state pay in order to send your children there.

I had my son in Two by Two for a week when I was handed a bill for over $600. When I went in to ask about it, Holly could NOT figure out how she came up with this amount. That made me a little worried. I was told to fill out paperwork from the beginning with my schedule PRIOR to having childcare and all it did was cause problems from the beginning. I couldn't get the help I needed to pay for the childcare. Then I was told that the cost was $131 a week, when I was told it would be $125? Lots of miscommunication. I gave them my son's shot records and medical information and then they said I didn't. He had a fever one day and I had to take off of work the next day because they wouldn't let him come back. I still had to pay full tuition for the week. Even with their holidays and days closed. My son would be SO THIRSTY everyday that he got out, you could tell he was only given drinks at lunch and snack time. One day I drove up and he was sitting by himself in the sun, bright red, eating rubber from their playground, FILTHY, and no one was paying attention to him. I would see teachers YELLING at kids, when I read they were supposed to "ignore" bad behavior? He constantly would have snot and boogers and food all over his face and body and apparently no one ever bothered to clean him up after he ate. I got a note that he was "eating their books". What does that mean? He's teething and 16 months old.. Am I supposed to punish him for this? Why not pay attention to him, or take the books away? It really confused me, and kind of upset me. He had diarhhea, and a runny nose CONSTANTLY the entire time he was going there. I also had heard from another lady that her grandson had the same problems while he was going there. Many of teachers were not very friendly at all. I just expected a lot more from a Christian daycare center. Not worth the time and money..

Two by Two is an EARLY CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CENTER. It is not a place to dump your kids while you run off to live lives in the "adult world." It's curriculum is based on Christian education gear for the infant to preschool age range. My kids have learned so much by going there! If you are concerned because you were able to walk through the day care, it's because they KNEW WHO YOU WERE. Parents sign in at the front desk and are monitored on the video cameras in the front office. Believe me, if a stranger was seen roaming the halls there would be many teachers asking them questions. They ID EVERYONE they don't know! The COOK who became teacher was ALREADY teacher qualified. She was filling in for the cook on a short term basis. The teachers at 2 by 2 are humbling and willing to do duty in other areas of the ministry if needed. DCFS regularly checks this facility and if an unqualified teacher was found teaching, the center would be heavily fined, and possibly closed. With so many parents depending on them to care for their children, and with so many employees needing a pay check, the center closing isn't an idea of a good time for anyone!Fundraisers are done for the same reasons they are done in public schools - because your money and the states money doesn't cover the bill! Would you like them to raise the tuition more? Or, stop paying it and leave your kid(s) with someone who will dump them in front of a TV all day and feed them chips for lunch. It's your choice. God gave us free will. If you can't handle the fundraisers or the book sales, then please don't send your kid into the public school system! HOME SCHOOL THEM! It only gets worse from here. Jamie Estes was not the secretary. She was first the office manager (which is now the assistant director position) and is now the director. She STARTED as a teacher teaching YOUR children. She cares about the institution enough to commit her career to it. As to illness, DCFS says children must be removed from the child care setting if a fever is present. The director and teachers hate having to tell you to keep your kid home. They know you have jobs depending on you and that it's an inconvenience. The staff is very flexible but can not risk having a child with fever around when DCFS drops in. And if you've been a parent long enough you should know that a temperature can drop by the time you pick them up and take them into the doctors - especially if fever reducing meds have been given! But come on, these our your kids and they are sick. Don't you feel a need to take care of them? Also, you pay the tuition to keep your spot in the day care. They have a long waiting list and can't afford to have people pay on a day by day basis. Think about it. Imagine you're sending your child to Schlarman. You will pay tuition and this tuition will be based on a yearly fee. Why? Because they need to ensure you child has a place in their enrollment. Again, 2 by 2 is an EARLY CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CENTER. They are NOT a DAY CARE! They do not merely care for your kids, they minister to them, they love them as their own, and they teach them. If you want a cheaper sitter, grab the granny next door. She'll let them play in the medicine cabinet while her soaps are on. If you have a problem with a teacher (Ms. Marta or anyone!) you should first take it up with them. If this fails, take it to the office. If it still fails, TAKE IT UP WITH THE BOARD. It's simple. Ask when the board meeting is and SHOW UP. But Ms. Marta (as all the staff are) is an adult and her actions are her own. If another woman's husband was flirting with her, then that's between him and his wife. You can't see inside their lives so you have no room to judge. And it's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!Did you mother teach you to eavesdrop on other people's conversations? Why would you put yourself in the position of gossiping about Center staff with other center staff. You should have taken your concerns to the office and confronted the staff member in question. And, Anonymous, I don't know where your ex got his information, but parents are allow to pick their children up ANYTIME!If you want QUALITY CHRISTIAN EDUCATION for your infant to preschooler, freshly cooked and nutritious meals, a caring staff, and an ASCI accredited curriculum, then 2 by 2 may be a wonderful fit. They are the best in Danville, and that's not just my opinion - there's Commercial-News and ACSI (and ASCI's standards far exceed DCFS).

I have been in the center and know about the security. They have cameras on all the hallways to monitor who is in the hallways. There is someone in the office by the front door at all times. My children love it there. The staff is very friendly and my children have learned a lot.

Two by Two daycare is located inside a church. They have a video camera by the front door. There are other ways to enter the church and walk through the day care center. I have walked through the daycare without being questioned. I do question the security of this place.
