Olive Garden, not one of my favorites. went there because of relatives.
1. salad was a limpy mess, hardly any dressing.
2. cream soup was like having a bowl of milk, very thin.
3. seafood alfredo. the scallops were like pebbles and the shrimp
not much bigger.
But the worst was when the manager came out because one of the women wanted to know about substituting mashed potatoes. i know this organization considers this an italian restaurant, well that is another story. Will not go into that.
he was rude and cocky. She had asked for mashed potatoes from the server, he had the manager come over. wanted to replace them for the pasta.
all he had to do was say no we cannot, instead of saying this is not boston market. i would have said something then, but she was already embarrassed, so i did not to say anything. wanted to go to him before leaving, but again, did not have the opportunity.
The server was fantastic. he was a pleasant young man. yes, two of the women were a little high maintenance. but if the server could deal with it, this manager should have been able to. his remark was not called for. I have owned a restaurant. I am not just speaking as a customer. again, a simple no, sorry we cannot do that should have been all that needed to be said.
