I placed my order online and found it very easy & user friendly. I shop afair amount online for a variety of merchandise and found this experience simple and efficeint with my personal time so limited. I like that I am able to comparison shop online & found the prices inline with high quality fixtures in other lighting stores. My order arrived as promised and the quality and craftmanship surpassed my expectations. Often pictures look better than the product, but not this time. I loved the large selection & uniqueness of the lighting available. My only personal contact was with customer service and they were knowledgeable and helpful in answering techinal questions I had. I would highly recommend Lightoloty to my friends.

I recently had an exceptional experience at this company and I want you to know how pleased I was. I brought a defective Lightolier unit from our track lighting system in to order a new one. I had been told by our contractor, electrian, and designer that it was no longer available. We were lucky that Argis Goorji helped us out. He was able to find the part right away and we decided to order two of them, just in case. Then he offered to try to fix the existing part as well. He examined the unit , took it apart, installed a new transformer patiently, checked out the wiring to make sure it now worked and returned a usable part to us.
We have never before encountered such a personable, customer oriented person in a service position. He told us it was just part of Lightology's training to be of service to customers.
We were so impressed with his wonderful attitude that we want you to be aware of his superior performance. We intend to recommend Lightology to our friends when they need new lighting products.

we have ordered all our fixtures from you in the past as well.

I bought over a thousand dollars worth of lights at this place and one of them broke. When I took it to get repaired the staff was so rude and unhelpful that I will never purchase anything from here again. The sales people were extremely snotty , telling me "We're not sure how long this will take-we have other orders." The sales people were both unknowledgeable and unwilling to help me. I finally walked out. I will be purchasing lights from elsewhere. If you want to be ripped off and treated like dirt, then go here.

I would not hesitate to recommend Lightology to anyone and let them know of two employees who have gone above and beyond regarding customer satisfaction. Both were fantastic and potential customers should know that aside from buying great fixtures, they are getting great customer care and satisfaction

Great selection, *&^&%$@ of a salesman. We made the "mistake" of daring to ask a question to a salesman who happened to have his desk against the back wall of 1st floor of the store today. He was completely and totally annoyed that we interrupted whatever it was that he was doing. A particular fixture (the Alpha 4) looked more yellow than the Miami 4 - probably due to the type of light bulb used but we weren't sure so we asked. A normal salesperson would have heard us (he was literally INCHES away from us.) asking each other the question and jumped in to offer assistance. Instead, this "person" told us that the light we were questioning was "not yellow" but maybe the bulb was burning out. Ok. Sorry Mr. Lighting-Expert. We didn't mean to disturb you from your wildly successful, profitable and booming real estate market home furnishing designer career. Needless to say, we will be taking our business (which would have been a nice amount considering the current economy) and our opinion of this horrible, horrible store anywhere and everywhere but here. I have read bad things about this store in many places. I'm sorry to say I agree wholeheartedly.

Yes, they have a great lighting selection, but the sales people and front desk staff leave a lot to be desired. I've bought two lights from Lightology, and both times I had to call multiple times to find out the status of my order because I never heard from them even though both sales persons said they would contact me.

Unbelievable. Now I just got to the store and look around (you are never bothered b/c the sales people don't care enough to ask if you need help), and once I know what I want I just order from another store online for about 25% less.

We were wondering in the store for about 25 minutes looking around but NO ONE approached us. I went to the front desk to ask for help and the sales man that was free was just hanging out with the admin ladies. Yes, he was very nice and helpful but did not know delivery dates and made it sound like it would be soon. He promised to call us back with this information on the following Monday. Needless to say he never did. I waited until Friday where I called first thing in the morning and got to talk to his assistance. She never even checked our order before! She said she would call by COB and of course she did not. I called and found out that one fixture is about 8 weeks out and the second one, she still did not know.
Yes, they have a great (very expensive) contemporary selection but the Total Customer Satisfaction concept is foreign to them.

So far, I really think that this store is the largest and most detail collection of quality contemporary lighting in Chicago area. You pretty much can find any lighting need that you want in this store. The place is so interesting filled with colorful lights, tall and small, bright and dimmed, small to large size. The staff is fabulous, they have interest in the product so the attitude is helpful. The pricing is a little bit too much, but if you want a modern look for lighting in your place, don't go elsewhere !

Lightology is a great place to go to find a cool and contemporary lamp for your home. The multi-level store offers a wide selection of lamps in varying sizes and colors. The staff is very helpful. And it is located close to the El Line. If your home has a modern, contemporary decor, this is definitely a place you need to check out.

Lightology is huge multi-story store, with an tremendous selection of light fixtures. Most of the lighting is contemporary, great for any downtown loft or apartment. Although pricing can be a bit expensive, they have great customer service and return policies. Note that the store can be hard to navigate on the weekends with the rush of Lincoln Park people to the store.
