Cliff was cheerful, careful, knowledgeable and quick. He's a great asset for Hill and Hill plumbing. I was quite satisfied with the work and will call Hill & Hill first next time I need plumbing work.

This company has been in business since 1990. They have pleased many customers over the years. As you can see from some of the reviews not all have been thrilled but then again, you can't please all the people all the time. The 4th generation just joined the company. All plumbers are licensed and trained through the local union and have refresher courses annually.
The plumbers will give you the best service possible.

We called this company because of a sump pump problem in our home. They told us to secure an appointment we would need to give a credit card #. We declined, said we would call around, and call back if we still needed someone. A few weeks later we received a bill $45 for a trip to our house (?!) and another $20 some for 1/4 of work to be done! Only problem- no one even set foot in our house to give us an estimate! Company did not return calls to inquire about these charges. Completely unprofessional! And judging from the other reviews and my own experience they seem more like scam artists to me. Please Avoid!

Pros: Example: best croissants in town

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

This company installed an overhead heater in my garage for $1,580.76 and I furnished the heater. The only work they did was uncouple a couple of existing gas pipe fittings on the existing faulty heater, attach about 4 or 5 feet of gas pipe the the existing pipe already inside the garage, attach two very industrial looking steel channels to my attic 2x6's from the interior of the garage (they look like they could support my car), cut a four inch hole in the vinyl sidewall of the garage and install a four foot section of exhaust vent through the hole. Breakdown on the bill was $45 Service Call, Materials $345.76 (consists of 4-5 foot of black pipe, about 8 foot of thermostate wire, the two ugly steel channels they attached to my ceiling and not more than four foot of exhaust piping, $1,190 for labor. Previous to using this company I had a quote of $1,500 to furnish and install the heater, but they could not get to it for over two weeks and I needed it sooner. I paid 550 for the heater and Hill and Hill 1580.76 for a total project cost of 2,131.76. My need for a quicker install cost me an extra $551. They are not to proud of the quality of their work as they only Warranty it for 30 days.

Business Response:

not accurate review Every story has two sides. Installing this heater required two professionals to work overhead. Our company did the work just as the homeowner requested. He informed our office of the specific work that was to be done and we did just that. We are extremely proud of the quality of our work.

I hired this firm to install an overhead heater in my garage. The gas feed was already available and only needed a five foot section of pipe attached. Existing pipe was pre threaded. Two unsightly rails were bolted to my 2 x 6's in the attic directly from inside the garage. No entry into attic necessary. Unit was hung and exhaust pipe run a total of 4 feet from rear of heater to outside of house. Hole was cut in vinyl siding side wall. Due to not being prepared the job required two trips to my home and on the second trip it took two plumbers five hours to do the above work. The first trip was one plumber who was not prepared to do much of anything and said that they did not give him all the info. He surveyed the situation and a couple of days later he returned with the helped. My total bill was; Service Call $45, Materials $345.76 and Labor $1,190. I FURNISHED THE HEATER.. The heater cost me 550. Total job $2,131. I had been previously quoted a price of 1,500 for a turn key job that included the heater. Did not use them because I needed the job done by a certain time and they could not work it in their schedule. I hired Hill and Hill on Time and Materials and they billed 631 dollars more than I would have paid with the other firm. I called them and they said owner would return my call, he never did and after a week I called them and talked to him. He was not going to ever consider reevaluating the work done by his men and said it was fair price. In my opinion and based on my first estimate my opinion is that they milked the job for extra money. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Pros: Was able to do the job on short notice

Cons: Price was unreasonable, Install looks like amateur work. Slow workers,

Hill and Hill Plumbing came out and replaced our handle on our toilet to make it flush again. Probably could have done it ourselves. They arrived promptly when they said they would and quickly completed the job. OUr toilet started leaking the next day and they came out to repair that and waived the trip fee. I feel that they are a little expensive but all plumbers are. The man that came was friendly. He had the parts he needed with him so we didnt have to wait to have the repairs done. I hate to pay for plumbing reparis but if you have to these are the guys to call!
