Bagel Place is the best

by april m.

I love this place! Best bagels in town. My favorite is the seedy sticks. Does anyone know what is on the seedy sticks? Poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and im not sure what else?

Like no other!!

by Dawn C.

Caldwell B.you must have been having a bad day, because I have NEVER had a bad bagel from the Bagel Place. I have been a customer since they were located near Don Carter Bowling! So I know what I am speaking of. Day old bagels are not bad either, but if you can get there early, warm seedy sticks ROCK!

AMAZING!!!

by Yvonne T.

My mom grew up in Rockford and knows the owner from way way back. The Seedy Sticks are my favorite! My husband and I live in West Texas so we don't get them fresh too terribly often but when we do they are heaven. The Reuben bagel sandwich is a treat for lunch and there is nothing better than a wheat bagel with their homemade raisin and walnut cream cheese along with a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning... I would recommend to all The Bagel Place.

Real Food?! Hurray!

by Aaron S.

What Caldwell B. might not realize is that the bagels in the bags are day-old and since The Bagel Place seems to care more for your health than pure profit, they use no preservatives. IE: better for you but don't last as long.

I highly recommend the Eggle Bagel with bacon and American cheese. Under $6 and you get a large delicious breakfast sandwich with a side of fresh fruit, a mini seedy stick, and a mini bagel.

If you're in a morning rush make sure to call in your order as they make sandwiches, etc. fresh so it takes a couple minutes.

BTW, if they are only one day old they're still good, just a little chewy. Sometimes I'll get a bag of 6 day-old seedy sticks for lunch. Under $1.75!

Just Wrong

by Caldwell B.

Worst bagels ever. Have not been there for a few years because it was sooo bad, I decided to give them another try. My mistake. No signage around store to tell you of pricing so counter girl gives me a menu. Bagels are $0.55 so I choose ten. When she rings them up they are $0.65/each. I asked, "How much is the tax here?" She says, "Oh, the price is $0.65/each we need to change the menu". Get back to my office and try the bagels. Small and hard. Made yesterday at best, possibly last month. Entire office asks where the crappy bagels came from? Go to Big Apple Bagels (Not great but much better) or anywhere else but not here.

Best Bagels

by Patricia P.

Best Bagels: I visit the Bagel Place daily and I always feel like a special customer. The food is absolutely the best. Large variety and the best bagels around. The ladies who work there are very caring and kind. I look forward to seeing them every day. The owner Alice is one of the kindest and pleasant people I know. There is always a smile in the Bagel Place

My favorite place to eat

by Bill A.

This is my farvorite place to eat. Nice atmosphere, great food, and friendly people. My farvorite bagel is the stick bagels. Lunch favorites are pastrami and swiss on a onion bagel, Italian dog (awsome), pizza bagel, lox + chreem chees (classic), and tuna with cheddar. I really like the quality of the meat and cheeses they use and the bagels are nice and fresh. In addition to the bagels the soups are to die for and the macaroni salad is great. I have been eating there for the last 14 years and I can say I'm their biggest fan.

Great selection of bagels and decent prices

by Jason B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,740

This is our bagel place of choice when our company gets bagels for a meeting or occasion. They offer a good variety of bagels and spreads. I think the bagels taste a bit better than Big Apple Bagels. I recommend the cinnamon and raisin.

Yummy

by John B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,264

The Bagle Place has the best Bagles in town. They have a wide variety of different kinds of bagles. They are very inexpensive too. They are located on a main road so it is extremely busy but well worth the hassle of traffic once you taste the bagles. They will even let you have a smaple if your not to sure you will like it.
