The whole staff does an awesome job! They offer affordable prices and I feel very comfortable with Dr. Bortell and Dr. Herrin. Great place to take the 'loved ones'.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Herrin for 24 years now. He is the sweetest, kindest man and a top-notch vet. I thought there couldn't be another like him out there. And then.... he added Dr. Bortell. What a team!!! They both treat your pets like they're family. I have sent so many people to them over the years. They are simply THE BEST!!!

We have been taking our pets to Herrin Animal Hospital since I was a kid, well over 20 years. We now take our pets there and they are absolutely wonderful. They answer all your questions and make time for your pet, even after hours. Love them!

I have been going to Dr. Herrin's office for over 20 years. He is the best Vet ever!!! We lived in Boloomington when we first started to go to him. We moved to Mackinaw over 15 years ago, and still make the treck to take our 3 dogs to him. Why? Because he is the best, and my "kids" deserve the best. He genuinely cares about my dogs like no other Dr. I have ever met.
We have lost three of our dogs due to old age with Dr. Herrin, and I have never met such a compassionate and caring man. He was always there for us in our time of grief, being a great comfort us in our time of need.
Dr. Bortell and the rest of the staff are the best too! When you bring your pet in, you feel like family.
I have and do recommend this office to friends and family.

Dr. Herrin is so sweet with our dogs and Dr. Bortel is such a nice man. He's really good with the dogs too, though a little more cautious. It's a very nice clinic.

Here at Herrin Animal Hospital they can take care of all your vet needs. Doc Herrin is GREAT! He really cares about your pets and treats them like family. The staff here is wonderful and they have there own dog on site who is just so cute and friendly! THey are a very nice vet and have a great location.

Ive been going to Dr. Herrin for years now. He is a wonderful vet. We have a wide variety of animals that most vets do not treat. Dr. Herrin treats our lizards, snakes, bird and cats all in one office. He is kind, friendly and generous with his time and experience. He is never to busy for phone calls and its always easy to get an appointment with him. His staff is friendly and treats your pet like family. Finding care for reptiles is almost impossible. If you have a more exotic pet this is the place for you.
