I AGREE WITH ENDING ON A SAD NOTE....I WAS WITH 33 TEMPORARIES TOO AND TRIED TO WORK FOR THEM AGAIN AND THEY WOULD NOT TAKE ME BACK AND WOULD NOT TELL ME WHY. I DON'T LIKE COMPANIES THAT HOLD GRUDGES. ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS NOT MY FAULT. UNFORTUNATELY, THEIR BAD QUALITIES OUTWEIGH THEIR GOOD ONES. ONE DAY THEY WILL FIGURE OUT THAT THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN. THERE SOME GOOD EMPLOYEES THAT WOULD LIKE TO COME BACK BUT WILL NOT BECAUSE OF THEIR PRACTICES.

Cons: COMPANY HOLDS GRUDGES

33 Personnel has been absolutely great to me since I first came to them in October 2008. The week I interviewed with them i was offered a temporary receptionist job. When that ended I was offered another temporary job working for a Radiology show at McCormick Place. When that ended I was offered another temporary position doing data entry. After these three consecutive temporary positions i was offered a full time job in sales. I was never without a job. Dean, the President and Joe, the Vice President have always had my best interest at heart and are two of the most genuinely good hearted people. They have gone to great lengths to help me out and for that I am forever grateful to them. I highly recommend this staffing agency to everyone!

I went to work for these people about 11 years ago, when I had some financial experience but not enough to shout about. I had a wonderful supervisor for the 4 years I was there, a gentleman named Scott. He used to say to me, "I'll take care of you", which used to bring tears to my eyes, because brothers and sisters, I've never had anyone take care of me in my life, including parents, it just never happened for me. And he did.

He coached me through hard times, and some of the jobs were great, and some of the jobs were bad. I never landed a permanent through them, and when I did, it was through the Tribune, and I stayed with that company for 8 years.

Well, I just called 33 again to resume working for them and had the shock of my life. The person at the other end of the line told me that my record indicated that I had "left jobs without permission", and therefore they had no use for me to ever work for them again. Now, I knew, everyone knows, that leaving without the permission of the supervisor or the client is a no no. I recall having the client send me home early - what was I to do - insist on staying? And I remember once or twice not working out with a particular client, which happens to everyone - you just don't fit into a particular environ and it's no big deal. I pressed for particulars - dates, names of clients, etc., and they were refused me. Why? If one is being barred from work one has a right to know WHY. So they refused to tell me when this supposedly happened and I raised a fuss and a supevisor called me back - I don't know why because she merely parroted what the first tier person told me. So it is a mystery to me. I feel I have a right to know just what I did with whom that bars me from working for them and I don't know what the law is at this time but I will find out.

What a shame, because I truly loved this place; I made a good living for four years and was truly looking forward to going back with better skills and making better money. :(

I can't recommend this company at this time, because I wouldn't want to see anyone I cared about get fired from the agency without knowing why and be like me, wondering what I did that brought the situation on.

I used this agency while I was in between jobs. The representative I was assinged to was really friendly and gave me some great tips. I got a few interviews through them. Though none of the interviews worked out for me, I still appreciated the information and networking opportunities I got through them.
