I took both my own children and my nephews to The Dupage Childrens Museum and they all loved it. The term Museum is a little misleading. It is really an interactive learning center with a ton of activities and play areas. Our favorite areas were the water works and the air works. The water works has a huge indoor river that children can use a variety of objects to build dams and change the water flow. You can float boats down it and there is a big pump that allows you to increase the water flow. (There are water-proof smocks for the kids to wear).

The air works is similar; it allows your kids to build large PVC structures on top of pipes that blow air. You can use the structures to direct air at a number of wind powered objects or to build nerf ball cannons.

Aside from those 2 areas, there were a whole slew of other interactive centers. There were areas with building blocks, all kinds of light experiments, a wood working shop, a drawing roomthe list goes on. We spent 5 hours there and I felt we barely scratched the surface!

The DuPage Childrens Museum is such a fun place for kids of all ages. When my kids catch sight of the building with its bright red, yellow and blue walls they are immediately excited to enter. My kids love the Creativity Connections area where they can grab lighted rods in a variety of colors and insert in holes on the wall to create a picture. It is just a giant playground for kids to explore, learn and have fun.

PROS: Lots of fun, lots to explore for kids
CONS: Kids don't want to leave

We have visited this museum several times, and my children LOVE it! The staff is friendly, there is a private room for nursing mothers, and they have hand sanitizer and diaper wipes available almost everywhere, which is a must in a place where hundreds of chidren pass though. I highly reccomend this place!

Dupage Childrens Museum is a wonderful place for children. You can purchase a one-day pass for about seven dollars or buy a year's membership which is the best bargain.

Their are three floors filled with fun things for children to do. They have educational classes available.

The museum has a gift shop, lunchroom and much more. This is a must to see for people with young children.

PROS: a great place for children
CONS: Just try to get your child to leave - it won't be easy.

DuPage Children's Museum is a fabulaous place to bring your kids. It is a huge place with great stations for the kids to explore-- there is a huge bubbles area, water play area, exploring with air and more. A highlight is the baby stations set up along the edges and in the basement. This is great for the tiny ones. Another plus is that the museum has wipes available on all of the walls so you can wipe down a toy before or after your child plays with it if you'd like. The best value is to get a year long membership. It could cost you $7 per person per visit or $59/year for one kid, $79/year for a family. We go all the time!

PROS: Great toys-- lots of fun for the kids
CONS: Classes are NOT worth the price!
