The food at Shanghai Terrace is excellent, as is the environment. It is definitely on the pricey side so I'd save this place for special occasions, but my meal was wonderful. The servers were also very friendly.

Shanghai Terrace is right along the magnificent mile, which made it a good stop when I had friends in town who wanted to walk to the mile and do more touristy attractions of the city. I'm not a huge fan of cantonese food, but I must admit, I liked Shanghai Terrace. The main reason when I would come back is to sit out on their terrace that overlooks michigan ave (but its not open in the cold months, so plan wisely)
