Just like to thank you guys for the business, your prices are fair and you guys treated me right, I was able to take the car to my mechanic and Ray was very reasonable and upfront about the car. I definately will be back to buy another car in the future. Thanks!

I went to their shop on 10/09/2009 to look at and hopefully purchase a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was beautiful!! They pulled it around for me to drive and I asked them if I could take it to my mechanic to have it looked over. They told me I can only take it to mechanics listed on their "Approved Mechanics List" and not my own personal mechanic who is a personal and trusted friend. They obviously have something to hide and have certain mechanics on their payroll.

bought a Honda Civic Ex 2002 about three months back from this place. The car had about 57.8 k on it at the time of purchase and was a one owner car. I have driven almost 2k after that and the car is running great without any problem. I must say it was really a great deal. Thanks United car center.

I've always been happy with these guys, they're honest and they have nice cars and they are really affordable. I bought a chevy from there back in 2003 and traded it last year over there. They were honest, reasonable and fair to me again.

We found a car there that we really liked & it was a fair price. After we purchased it, they handed us the key. They only had 1 key & it was broken with no way to attach it to a key chain. They were unwilling to get us another key. It cost us $300 for a 2nd key because it is a Volkswagen. Also, after we purchased it & got in the car we noticed that there was no gas in the car (which is just bad customer service. If I am spending $7000 on a vehicle, just fill it up before we drive away), so we had to stop for gas. When we pulled away from the gas station the check engine light came on. We were told it was a $600 repair, none of which United Car Center was willing to help us out with. We owned the car for a few hours and had already racked up repair cost & a key at $900. We have had the car for 1 1/2 years now & have poured thousands into repairs. We really believe they sold us a lemon & were knowledgable of some of these items. We were so disappointed that they did not even attempt to help us out. They kept giving us the run around, just like I read that they did to several other people. They are not mechanics, they are salesmen. It is has been very evident to us. They do have a great inventory of cars & good prices, but don't let that fool you. Do your homework, because once you leave their lot, you are on your own, no matter what. We lived & learned.

I live in Cincinnati, OH.... have been driving for 30 years...but, have never bought a car from an independent car dealer and never traveled out of state to buy a car. I purchased a beautiful 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe from Bill and Nasser at United Car Center in June 2009. I drove it 4 hours home, then took it on a 20 hr round trip drive to MA....absolutely no problems. Love this car! Bill was very upfront about a few scratches and a ding on the bumper. I'd been looking for a 2007 Santa Fe SE AWD for one of my kids for six months and this was the best deal on the Internet (I am a very price conscious CPA/MBA). I realize that if I was looking for a $5,000 car....I shouldn't expect the perfection I'd see in a 2007 with a bumper to bumper warranty thru 60K (this SUV had 27k). When you're buying a $5,000 car, you can't always forsee future problems due to age/mileage, you just have to budget for some possible future problems. Nassar had an extra set of keys/remote and he was kind enough to mail it to my home in Cincinnati. I'll be looking for a Saab or Volvo or Audi convertible in the next year.....and you can bet I will be calling Bill and Nassar. M.L. CPA, MBA Cincinnati, OH

This place is the PITS! We bought a lexus and with two weeks it needed all new fuel injectors, very expensive repair. Before we could even drive it home we had to go put a new tire on it. And since then we have had another new tire on it and must replace a rim now as well. Along with many other things our mechanic is suggesting. This guy knew we had two children and needed a decent car. He SOLD us CRAP. We are looking to buy another CAR but we wont be going there!

My fiance and I responded to an ad posted by United Car Center. We arranged to see the vehicle. Went up with our 2 children (6 year old and a 3 week old). I asked why the vehicle had been there for sooo long. The gentleman said that it "kept coming back to them because it was used as trade-in". He gave us the key and told us to test drive it. WE DIDN"T EVEN PUT IT INTO DRIVE!!! The manager came up to the window. I told him (to be nice) we didn't feel that the vehicle was for us. He proceeded to be VERY pushy and stated that this was a great "family" vehicle! How could ANYONE sell a vehicle that has a MAJOR mold problem to a family with children!!! I started to state ALL the things wrong with the vehicle. The manager ACTUALLY said "ok, we go down on price". I said "what"? In a matter of 45 seconds he went down from $1,300.00 to $700.00 plus a 30 day warranty!!! OMG!!

I live in Kansas and I purchased a used Mustang GT from United Car Center's website, the gave me a clear description over the phone and they were very honest about the car's condition, i drove up there the car was great and so was the price, two days later I had an issue with the fuel pump and United Car Center was very helpful and helped me fix it even though i bought it as is. I just want to say that I am very grateful for the deal and the post sale service I received. Thanks again, you guys are great! I WILL BE BACK next year to buy another vehicle. Thanks,Austin.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! They sell cars that look great on the outside and interior but are in bad condition. We went and bought a Honda from this place. They said everything was working great on the car and on the test drive it did. So we paid for it and took it home. The next day we took it in and had it looked at because it veered to the left and for an oil change because it needed one. Well after having it looked at it has a cracked radiator, oil leaking from somewhere, needs an alignment, all ball joints need to be replaced, new brakes and new tires. Yeah some of this we should have caught before we drove off the lot and some because it is a used car but still this should have been fixed before the put the thing up for sell (cracked radiator, alignment and an oil leak from somewhere come on!!!!). We called them up about this and they said there is nothing they can do. Thank god we bought a warranty with the car and hope that it covers most. They are not helpful and will do what they need to do to get a car off their lot. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!! They are shady and do not trust them. If you do buy make sure you take it to an independent mechanic you choose (not one from their lot or one of theirs but outside with no ties to them). If they say no don?t get the car and walk away fast (RUN!!!). But we will never never go back to them because they sell bad cars, are not helpful and rude.

Pushy kindness before the deal
Irresponsible from the second of the deal, which is followed by tons of misleading information ---- none on paper, so the customer is always the only person to blame.
By the way, they can yell --- a bonus in this civilization.
I wouldn't have gone there if I had talked with my mechanic before hand -- he verified that my experience was by no means surprising to him.

My 18 year old son found the car he was looking for at this place. 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse 5-speed manual. He called to go and look at the car. Asked them if it was a problem that he was 18, was told no. After arriving at the dealership was told that he couldn't test drive the car because he wasn't "preapproved". Came home obtained financing and called the company to let them know. My husband and he went to pick up the car the next day. Were told that they had a "new" person in their service department who had flooded the car and they needed to repair/replace spark plugs and battery. My son and husband left for approximately 30 minutes, came back and the car was running. Son drove the car all day. Went to work that night and when leaving, the car wouldn't start. (had vehicle less than 12 hours). Was told the next day by someone at the dealership that he "saw them change spark plugs and battery and sometimes you have to keep trying to start the vehicle to get the gas out of the plugs" 2 days later car still wouldn't start. Had our own mechanic look at the vehicle and were told it needed new spark plugs, fuel pump, and fuel pump tail(?). We got a hold of "Al" who is the manager and my husband and son ended up driving to the dealership with a list of things needing to be replaced. They then talked to "rami", as "al" wasn't there. Then told the next day Al was looking for parts. Finally, after threats of sitting in their dealership every day until this was resolved, Al found the parts. Note also NOONE ever called us back as promised, we had to do all of the calling. After telling them what time he would be there, my husband went to get the parts, and magically Al and Rami and all salespeople were no in the business. He was greated by a mechanic and given the parts. We have to pay to have the vehicle repaired, but they did purchase the parts. I am assuming they won't pay for repair because we won't have them do the work.

I definitely would NOT advise getting a car from this place. This has been the worst car buying experience ever and my husband and myself have bought plenty of used cars. I only wish my son would have checked out this site, or the BBB site, as they do have an unsatisfactory rating. I hope that this review helps someone else.

I bought a car from United Car Center this summer. In less than 2 weeks, after purchasing my vehicle, the engine blew. They repaired the engine for me after I called because I couldn't find my warranty papers. After they gave me my car back they said I had to have my radiator cleaned due to metal in the engine. Turns out I had a coolant leak when I went to have the radiator cleaned. About a month after the first blown engine I finally got my warranty papers after asking several times, and my starter went out. Then about 2 months after they replaced my engine with a used engine, it blew again. Turns out they put a faulty engine in my car. They are now refusing to do anything to repair my engine. Even though it was their shotty work and parts that caused this to happen. I spoke to a lawyer who already has at least 3 cases against them. To make matters worse, all of my paperwork (contract, warranty, and title) have different vehicle purchase dates. Plus, I have two different mileage records on my documents. At first I was telling people to get a car from them. NOW, I am telling everyone I know to stay away from them!

It seems people only write a review when they do not have a pleasant experience, I think it is only fair I share my experience with this company as well. I was refered to these guys by a coligue of mine who bought a truck from them. About two years ago I purchased a 2003 VW and I was very pleased with the vehicle and the staff. they gave me some great advice on the car I was going to trade and they even offered to help me sell it. The price was fair, and the vehicle was well presented with vehicle history and everything. So far I havent had any issues with the car except for some typical repairs and I have refered many people to them, my son gets his licence this winter and I am pretty sure that I'll be contacting the sales team @ united for another car.

Thanks.

I bought a Toyota that was supposed to be in good shape. During the first month the car was burning oil and blowing clouds of smoke. The salespeople at United Car Center didn't want to do anything with it. Their warranty covered very little of the $5000+ that I had to spend on a new engine installed with labor and diagnostics included.

Other things that quit working were: A/C, alternator, and the check engine light (this one came on after only a few days of buying the car).

I figured out that the dealership bought this car from a car auction and then sold it to me.

I would stay away from this dealership and buy from a private seller. If you're looking for a used car, go to a bigger city like Chicago/Indianpolis/StLouis where you can find a good car at a reasonable price from a private seller. I learned my lesson the hard way.

I bought my car from this dealer. Immediately after I bought it, I found that the car had a problem in the back door latch, so I took my car to the dealer. I made an appointment over phone, but I was told that they were busy when I went. I went there the second time, they fixed the door latch, and charged me $47. However, I found that they introduced a new problem - the door panel was loose. They asked me to go there again. I went there the third time, only to find that they tried to use glue to stick it. It's not the right way to do - the panel has to be latched inside the door, but they didn't bother to open the door panel. What's worse, the glue didn't work out - it's still loose. They refused to fix it for me even though their mechanic was present. In stead, they asked me to go there again next week. I felt fooled, and asked them what happens if they couldn't fix it the fourth time, they refused to say anything, and they refused to give my money back. They treated me roughly after I paid the money. I was totally dissatisfied with this dealer.

I felt fooled, and asked them what happens if they couldn't fix it the fourth time, they refused to say anything, and they refused to give my money back. .

We just bought a used car from United Car Center and they allowed us to take the car for four hours so that our mechanic could look it over for us. They also let us take it home for the night and come back in the morning to sign papers. Great experience!
