The most unprofessional business I have dealt with. I rented an apartment from them in June 2013 for an August 2013 move in. Great Location, and on paper a good unit. \r

I don't tend to write reviews, but sometimes I feel that some places need to be known or avoided. In this case, avoid at all costs. The people in the office seem nice enough, but they don't really care and it feels that they pretend to be

LaSalle is awesome! They were always very understanding and responsive to my needs, and the secretaries were always friendly. I would highly recommend renting from them; I miss them now at my new place :(

I have lived here for two years and am pretty satisfied with my overall stay. They cleaned and painted before we moved in, they gave the proper notification before coming over, and a majority of the problems me and my roommate had were fixed within 24-48 hours. When we needed to speak to someone from the office, they were always nice and understanding. One time my roommate had to pay late, and they were fine with it and didn't charge us a late fee.

The apartment building is old, so I actually am more than ready to move out after two years now. But for being an old building, the negatives are reasonable I think. The heat can get really annoying when it makes noises inside the wall, but it's free so I can't complain too much. We're in the garden unit, so the people upstairs sound ridiculously loud at times. We may have had to call a few times because of minor things that went unanswered or needed to be fixed repeatedly, but other than that, it's not the worst place. The rent was really really cheap, especially living NEXT DOOR to a train station. I may not love the building I live in, but the rent was great, free heat, next door train, and the property management themselves are really nice and helpful.

I am currently looking for a place and recently encountered Bari Management's owner Jeff Tessler, and I have never felt so much hatred for a person before in my life. You can read my review on their Citysearch page. Boy, was it horrible. I actually wish I could keep renting with LaSalle Associates, especially after reading reviews of other property management companies. In comparison, they outshine places like ICM and Bari Management by a landslide.

Pros: Customer friendly, helpful, always kind.

Cons: Building was old.

I would advise anyone seeking an apartment to NOT rent from LaSalle Associates. They simply do not care about their properties or their tenants. My experience has been that you have to call them constantly to get simple repairs done. Other tenants in my building said the same thing. When they actually do make repairs, it is shoddy work that looks bad. Either the repair guys don't know or don't care about how to make repairs correctly. The only reason I didn't give them just one star is because they actually do make the repairs, after much harassment and even though they look terrible. They also do not maintain tthey outdoor areas of their properties well at all. Consider yourself warned!
