.

When Gramps couldn't live alone and unattended any longer he moved from his beloved Wisconsin into Lexington Square Retirement Community. Gramps used to say that he was just an "old farmer" and it made him a bit uncomfortable being around all the chandeliers and "fancy" furnature.

He had his own apartment which was VERY nice. It had a very well equipped kitchen --- I would like to have his kitchen! The living room was large also and had a big window. Too bad it overlooked I-355 and a parking lot.

The bedroom was large also and had the biggest walk in closet that I've ever seen.

The bathroom was well equipped and was made for elderly folks.......grab bars everywhere.... plus a nice sized linen closet.

The dining room was well staffed and food tasty...but a bit repetitive.

The prices at that time were pretty darn steep. Luckily Grampa and Grandma has saved their entire lives.

When Gramps died, we moved his things out and the apartment gets resold. When the original contract was signed we felt they misrepresented themselves by saying the apartment would sell quickly. It didn't. My parents and Uncle had to pay the monthly fee (upwards of 1,000/month at that time) for several months........ THAT was awful.

Besides the "selling" of the apartment --- I'd say this was a good and decent place to be.

PROS: large, well maintained
CONS: pricing/resale
