Overall great experience. Lunch items were fresh and very tasty. My Kids loved it. They also have choice for Nepali Cuisine and they were excellent as well. Service gets four star for lunch crowd.

Not even the Indian food in London compares to Mt. Everest. It is the best Indian food I've ever had.

Pros: food

.

The atmosphere is casual, and one feels very much at ease here. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and yet unpretentious. The food is amazing. I've been here several times. Not having had much previous experience with Indian cuisine in the past, I have come to love it, and all because of Mount Everest. When having lunch here, most people I know don't even look at a menu, but go straight to the buffet. It is an amazing value and of course absolutely delicious!

Pros: the food of course, waitstaff helpful, nice atmosphere

An associate of mine suggested that we go to lunch at Mount Everest for their buffet (only about $7.50 on weekdays), they said that their boss and coworkers go here all the time as they work right there in Evanston, it is usually her boss's first choice of places to go for lunch. We scheduled lunch weeks in advance, so for weeks I was looking forward to a delicious Indian buffet (I love Indian food and hadn't had it for awhile), and this place was a let down. The food was pretty bland, not tasty. My favorite Indian restaurant is Gaylord India in Chicago, and they may be pretty hard to measure up to, but . . . I wouldn't even go back to this place.

Linen-covered tables sit close together, and landscapes of Nepal and neighboring India adorn the walls. Here, you can get your curry fix, or sample milder dishes like tandoori (clay oven-cooked) chicken. Favorites…
