I use this Veterinary Clinic, I take all my animals there, I have not had one problem with this clinic abusing my animals or doing a sloppy job on any surgeries. I know they are human also and aren't perfect, none of us are. People just plain make mistakes. I have read several of the real negative comments on here and find them to be a bit disturbing and could be blown out of context. I read at lot of accusations but the ones accusing have the burden of proof on their hands. Take them to court if their wrong, if you don't then try to refrain from damaging someone's credibility. Sorry about your animal(s) but please follow through with the proper channels. This is a great animal clinic in my opinion.

This is the most unprofessional clinic in the area. The new Vet, Shannon Willis is rude and very unpleasant. The did not follow USDA regulations on vaccinating our dog, so now we are left with no choice but to leave him at home with family while we return to my husband's duty station. I told them 6 months before we left that we would be traveling to Germany in Dec and they assured me that they would get him ready to go, however, they did his vaccinations in the wrong order so they are now not recognized by the government. I called to tell them of their mistake so they could fix this error in the future and Willis got a huge attitude with me and told me it was my problem, not theirs. I told her i just wanted them to know the correct order so no one had this issue and she said, "we have never had this problem before so i really don't care." I have never been treated with such "high-school" attitude in my life. I would expect a more professional attitude out of a 13 year old cheerleader.

We just had a 5 month old kitten put to sleep because of FIP. The information we received at this clinic was incorrect and could have possibly endangered our other cats if we had not taken the kitten to another clinic for a second opinion. The vet we have had experience with, Jo Lynn, walked in the examination room, to discuss the diagnosis and was talking about a totally different animal, which was very unprofessional in my opinion. She seems to want the money, by getting shots and procedures done, that are, in our case, useless, more than to help someone's animal. This same vet misdiagnosed another cat of ours a few years ago, eventually causing his death at a young age of 2 years old. They do not seem to care too much about taking care of small house animals, but more of large farm animals.

Mr. Lamczyk is genuine, honest, and organized. Kevin doesn't swindle people out of money. There prices are reasonable. Mr. Lamczyk will tell it like it is but he truely cares. He does really well with farm animals. Mrs.Lamczyk isn't the most friendly person, I accually stay clear of her she makes me uncomfortable but she gets the job done. Their clinic is easy to get into . It is a small town, definantly a country atmosphere. The receptionists are very friendly. I use them only because of price. I got my cat spade and as the rest of the people have said. It was not satisfactory. It was a messy job, looked like my 4 year old did the sewing, the outcome left horrible, huge mangled looking painful scars on my cat. I know its not Mr. Lamczyk he always did a amazing job in the past. I have had tons of animals spaded or neutered by him. Its either Mrs. Lamczyk or students? I will never use them again for a procedure like that unless I knew Kevin was doing it. Hope this helps.

I wish I could say I read the last post while in amazement but the sad truth is that while it was a heartbreaking story, I was not shocked at all!! We too have been taking our animals to him for years (reluctantly for the last year or so). I have put up with the rude & unprofessional manner in which my husband, mother, & I have been treated on multiple seperate (unrelated)occasions within the past year or so. My main concern was always that my animals were recieving proper care from a knowledgable vet.
I took my dog to Lamczyk's to be spayed a couple of months ago. When I picked her up I was suprised at the ammatuer nature of her incision site. It appeared to have been "grouped" back together. I remember telling my husband that it resembeled the way a hurried 10yr old might tie off a balloon after rushing to blow it up. We decided that we should stay calm & refrain from passing judgement too soon.
(While I must say I feel lucky after reading the last post), Here we are almost 2 1/2 mos later and her incision site can be spotted from a mile away! At one point, I decided to attempt scar massage to help reduce the odd, large, keloid scar that was forming as a result of her last (literally, her LAST) visit to Lamczyk's. As u can imagine, hair doesn't grow on the surface of the damaged tissue so she now has a large hairless, thick scar on her side which she will have forever. We're not raising show-dogs here & their looks aren't really of great importance to my husband & I but there is principle involved in the obvious disregard felt by the person who deemed this as acceptable practice!!! "THE SHOW IS OVER!! It's time for these idiots to quit trying to take short-cuts & refusing to aknowledge responsibility while continually making careless decisions!!"

Had used this vet for years, until my final experience I had with them. I took my dog to them who needed to have a c-section and be spayed. She needed this due to her breed, its difficult, and unsafe for them to deliver naturally. My husband called in advance to me arriving and told them we wanted her spayed & c-sectioned. When I dropped her off I personally told the staff member 3 times to c-section and spay my dog. I was assured that she would be taken care of and they would call me when she was finished. My husband called back after I dropped her off to tell them for the 5th time to make sure they c-sectioned & spayed her. They had previously c-sectioned my dog so I ASSUMED she was in good hands. The vet & staff decided not to c-section or spay my dog, like they had been asked 5 times. Instead they "pulled" the puppies out. No one called us to let us know, we found out when we picked her up after hours. So with no other choice at that time we brought her home. A few days later she started acting strange. We would let her out and she wouldn't come back, she wouldn't eat, not even table food. I took her back to the vet who then informs me she needed an "emergency spay," and "may not make it through the surgery." So the surgery I had asked for 5 times now had to be done to save my dogs life. Unfortunately I am writing this review to let others know about my experience, and my unfortunate experience was the loss of my beloved companion. My dog died the next morning following her emergency surgery. She had died from a torn uterus, 100% preventable had she been spayed like we asked. My husband went to pick her up the following day and the vet demanded payment, he obviously declined. The vet told him, "I made a mistake," "Hind site is 20/20," "If you do not pay you are not allowed on the property & need to find a new vet." It is a terrible feeling to know I let these people care for my dog. Today I opened a letter from a debt collection agency, the vet is still demanding payment. Do they have lower prices? Yes, but in the end I paid the ultimate price.

I find their services & medications to be reasonably priced. Mr Lamczyk's genuine concern & interest puts clients at ease instantly. I prefer him to his partner, Mrs. Lamczyk. She appears to lacks empathy for the animal & client, & seems more concerned in selling products & unnecessary procedures. She recently examined a stray dog & found something lodged in its esophagus. She told us to give the dog soggy bread (!?!) to see if the blockage would budge & said they would be closed over the weekend & could do nothing further for the dog. She told us to go to Effingham or Marion to get an endoscopy done. I was surprised she did not offer to perform emergency surgery because the dog can't hold down food and is riddled with worms, but I am not a vet. Also, since they stopped taking walk ins, it seems that making an appointment makes little difference in the wait time. We wait about an hour each time we come in, regardless of the procedure.

i have taken my animals to this vet. for years. i have found his technique with the animals and their owners to be very friendly. we hardly ever have to wait for an appointment since he has open office hours twice a day.
prices on wormers and flea products are way below the other vets in the area. he also has new puppy packages very reasonably priced.

PROS: reasonably priced
CONS: doesnt have any
