Played the course twice this year and both experiences were great. First time we played, we teed off at 6:30 and finished in 4:15. Second time we played, we teed off at 12:00 and finished in 5:00 which wasn't bad considering how many people were there. Conditions were great and they are even working on the bunkers. The bunkers they rebuilt were amazing. Staff was really friendly and helped find my wedge that I lost. I can't wait to play there again. Coupon is available online, you save $22.

Pros: Great Course and Great Staff

Cons: Really didn't see any

Played at 7 AM was the 2nd group off took 5 hours because the ranger did nothing to move the group ahead of us along, conditions mediocre (traps filled with h2o when we did not have rain for 4 days), barren patches in several fairways, greens were avg at best, lady at the turn took 10 minutes to get us 4 sodas because she should be in a nursing home instead of working, staff was friendly but it is the same old story here, great layout and mediocre conditions at $67 a pop, reconsider & go somewhere else because the new management must be related to the old one, conditioning needs much improvement to justify the price

This is a great course. It will challenge even the best golfers. However, I recommend getting out early as the place has a tendency to back up pretty quickly (and we all know what that's like--as in, not good). The staff here are average (in service, not intelligence--I didn't have time to test anyone), but the course makes up for what the clubhouse lacks in friendliness (and possibly intelligence). As long as you beat the crowds (with whatever you can find), you won't be disappointed in a round at GD.

I played GDGC 2 weeks ago and was pleased to see the course conditions improving with new management. I was not impressed with the handling of my group by the rangers and course manager. After making the turn to the tenth in 2 hrs 10 min. walking, rangers continued to ride along with our group for a total of 6 holes. After finishing at 4 hrs. 10 min...20 min. better than suggested pace, I was disgusted with the lack of professionalism by the rangers comments as well as the course managers answers. I don't appreciate my enjoyment being comprimised because the previous sat. was 50 min. behind pace. Not an acceptable answer! Maybe you should hire qualified rangers who understand and appreciate the game of golf or modifiy tee times to every 10-12 min. from the current 8 min.
