As Always Cafe Iberico makes our family and friend reunions unforgetable. Your Sangria and the pincho de pollo are made to perfection. Being place on the waiting list is worth every minute of it. Your staff is prompt with service. Your exquiste spanish food is delicious can "only" be found at Cafe Iberico and nowhere in the chiccago area can beat you cuisine. I highly recommended them check them out.

Cafe Iberico is one of the best places in chicago for spanish cuisine and tapas... its great to go as a big group because everyone can order small many dishes (vegetables, potatoes, various meats) and share. the prices are very reasonable as well! the food and deserts are delicious and you cant go wrong here!

This is where I first ate tapas and I haven't found a place as good. I still wished I lived in Chicago.
The food is tasty and fresh. The sangria, both red and white, are must have drinks as it enhances the food you're eating. I've had their paella, torta espanola, sauteed shrimp, sauteed mushrooms, paella, etc. It's all so good.
It can get really crowded over the weekend and really loud so if you're looking for quiet, this wouldn't be the place.
The best time to go is during the week, especially since they take reservations!

This restaurant has a really, somewhat communal style. When you go there on a Friday evening, it starts out not too busy, but is jam-packed by 9:00 p.m.
The tapas are really, really tasty and the sangria just makes everything taste absolutely fabulous.
I like this place mostly forthe atmosphere and the Sangria. The food is really good, but extraordinary--then again, I'm a Latina. It takes a lot for me to be impressed with Latin cuisine restaurants.

This is a great place to take a group of friends for some tapas (small Spanish dishes to share) and sangria (or port). There are so many things on the menu that you will want to try that it helps to have lots of friends to share. The bar can be a madhouse especially on weekend nights, and the sound volume can be deafening, so try and sit on the other side of the wall. Check out the decorations for a real taste of Spain.
PROS: great food and drinks
CONS: can get very loud and crowded especially at the bar

The atmoshpere here is hilarious. Sometimes it's typical busy restaurant , with a good mix of people, but other times there's sleww of shady fellas with their "hired" pals. Maybe that was an isolated instance? Anyway, I've been here a dozen times and even though I'm a vegetarian, the food is pretty good. Great desserts and good service.

Having spent a significant amount of time in Spain over the last ten years, I'd like to think that I know something about Spanish cuisine. In my opinion, Cafe Iberico continues to be the most authentic Spanish restaurant in Chicago - both the ambience and the food itself. Leave your jeans at home and dress for the scene - and enjoy the fantastic sangria or Spanish wines or beers. They do a nice job with the jamon iberico platter, and the croquetas are so creamy and delicious. The bar area gets packed almost every night of the week and they don't take reservations, so leave plenty of time on your agenda for Iberico. It's worth it!
