I love going to portillos every time I get off of work. But sometimes I feel like they are a little too expensive. I personally like their Caesar's Salad and their Cheeseburgers. But their Chocolate cake is to die for. I get a gift card for portillos every Christmas or birthday. One thing I don't like is that they are not more widely available. I will go to visit family in other states and they have no idea what I am talking about when I say I have a huge craving for portillos.

Portillos serves a very good beef sandwich and they are well known in the western suburbs. There other food is very good also, especially my favorite the chopped salad. It is more expensive than fast food but much, much better. This particular Portillos in Addison is smaller and less hectic/crowded than others - a good thing!

In Short
Dick Portillo opened his first restaurant from a trailer with no running water in 1963 in Villa Park, Ill. Today, each location has a unique theme that reflects the founder's love of history and Chicago. Menu favorites…
