I had the occasion to purchase an HP laptop computer recenly. I had shopped the local Circuit City, Best Buy, CompUSA as well as WalMart and Staples. I found a great buy on a Pavilion model DV5029 that had a sale price of $1059 with a $200 rebate. Further the manager took off $20 as the unit I purchased was the demo unit. I consider myself knowledgeable in these purchases but the technician gave me some interesting insights about the unit regarding features and benefits. I purchased a lock, slip on cover and an extended warranty, just in case the demo unit caused any problems. I have been very pleased with the features and performance of the unit especially for the sub $1000 price.
