Best Buy

I had a very positive experience at the Best Buy in Schaumburg. I had a problem with my computer and was told by my tech service guy over the phone that it was a bad hard drive that would cost $350. I called Best Buy in Schaumburg the girl that answered was very kind and explained how the cost of diagnosis and repair worked. I went to the Geek Squad to just have them verify that it was the hard drive and to recommend a hard drive that I would put in myself. My Geek Squad guy was Jay. Amazing guy. He ran all the tests that he could and found it was the video card not the hard drive. Showed me where it was in the PC. Bought a video card, took it home, installed it, $32 later, PC like new. Jay, honest, patient, kind and definitely the top Geek in the Geek Squad!!!!! This is the Best Buy I usually go to and have had no complaints. Thanks Jay

They have to be the absolute worst place for "Customer Satisfaction" !!!
Not only are they rude, smug about it, and unflexable in their policies, but the snear at you when you question it.
Just try to get service without their "Original Work Order".
No matter that they have a record of purchase and installation.
I called their corporate office and was told...................
"We won't reverse a store managers decision".

Well, I've also made a decision..............I will never again spend one nickle at ANY Best Buy. And, I would advise anyone to be very carefull if you do.

Also, I brought a remote for my mother's car. Was told it costs $150.00.
All I wanted it to do was lock and unlock the doors and start the car when it was cold outside. I asked if there was another remote that was less costly. Was told "NO".
Called the manufacturer and was told that one I actually needed sold for $51.99.
The one I bought is going back and I'll go to Circuit City for the other.

It's hard to imagine a more varied group of incompetents than the ones that are currently employed at this Best Buy's Geek Squad. They were quite clueless on most all computer problems that crossed their desk on the three separate occassions I was at the store. I highly do not recommend taking your computer to them unless your goal is to get your computer back in the same shape it was originally in or, very possibly, in worse shape. They are also rude. You have been forewarned!

We bought our current computer from Best Buy. Well, actually started out with a laptop. The laptop broke, something happened with the screen, and when we brought it back to Best Buy for repairs the service people just said "never saw that happen before!" They made some attempts to repair it, but when they declared it unfixable we decided to go in a different direction and get a desktop. Instead of the one we wanted, which was comparable in cost to what we had purcahsed, the sales clerk talked us into what has turned out to be a cheap piece of garbage. Maybe it was an incentive sell for them, don't know, but in the future I'll research what I want before I shop and will buy somewhere they won't try to talk me into something I don't want.

Best Buy is very bad because they have nothing in stock and they also have a very rude and not very nice.I would never reccomend this Best Buy.This is why i gave Best Buy 1 star.

Best Buy has low prices everyday!!They have great deals on open box items which are almost on sale daily and they have great deals online and in their paper!!

This Best Buy is nice for electronics. It just remodled so like it has even more parking. All the workers there are great and very helpful. They even help you with your items to your car. So, you will always feel safe.

Best Buy has the greatest slection of tvs and commputers. Also, the prices are great and not only that but the warrantees last for a long time. Their return policy is also very flexible.

Best buy is your one stop shop for your electronics. I personaly like the dvd, cds, and computer game collections. In my experience with buying computers from there they are very reliable.
