I am really shocked by all the negative reviews! My experience has been so great. I had read about some bad reviews online but I decided to give it shot since they are in network with my insurance and I was able to get an appointment

Horrible, hostile, confrontational receptionist, will NEVER go back. She upset me so badly I was shaking when I left the office. She had the wrong dental plan information for me and refused to listen when I tried to correct her. I had to make her call my insurance company who confirmed I was right. No apologies from her, only sarcasm. The last thing you need after your teeth have been scraped, your gums have been prodded, and you wander disoriented into the lobby is to confront an attack dog.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
You will be charged for the most expensive treatment if you don't request a cheaper option!!!

I had two cavities filled here today and was charged $115 out of pocket after insurance because the dentist filled my teeth with the more expensive white fillings as opposed to the standard silver fillings, without my knowledge. I asked the receptionists why this was so expensive. They responded saying the white fillings are always more expensive. I asked her how much the fillings would have cost me out of pocket if I had gotten the standard silver fillings, and she said an amount just over $30. I complained about not ever being given the option of choosing which kind of filling I wanted, and went on to express my frustration about how dishonest and irresponsible this is for their practice to automatically charge patients for the highest possible amount rather than informing patients of their options, and allowing them to make an informed decision about how to move forward with their treatment.

As I left the office today, I recalled a question they include on their questionnaire for new patients regarding whether the cost of dental treatment is a concern for the patient. Why do they ask this question of their patients if they clearly refrain from making any effort to consider a patient?s financial situation when providing treatment? They informed me that a patient needs to request a silver filling in order to be given that option. How are patients supposed to know to make that request if they don?t openly and clearly state the type of filling they use and that insurance companies typically do not cover as much of the cost?

This practice is an indication of Lincoln Park Dentistry having a greater interest in taking advantage of and making money off of their patients as opposed to allowing their patients to make informed decisions about their health.

I was told I needed 3 cavities filled here-and like a moron I agreed to have it done without consulting another dentist. The dentist was rude, and my cavities were nowhere to be found on the xrays. She placed amalgam fillings, did not take precautions, and could care less that I was inhaling and practically swallowing amalgam (mercury)!!! In the middle of drilling a hole for my 3rd tooth I told her to use white composite due to her carelessness in placing the amalgam on the 2 other teeth. I believe I never had cavities, that I was lied to so she could make a profit.I would NEVER recommend anyone to this practice. They are swindlers, and liars. They could care less about your health and safety and should be shut down!

Pros: nothing

Cons: rude staff, inexperienced ,careless

These people are uneducated and rush you through the office.
I told them about my sensitity to dentists, and the dentist was basically like "Well, that's too bad" and proceeded to be the most aggressive dentist ever.
They don't care about your teeth. They just want your money. IN addition, my husband needed emergency care for a crown, and they told him the next available appointment was 4 months out. Horrible service, rude dentists, run down office.

Pros: I can't think of one pro

I've been seeing Dr. Lewis for about 4 years and have no complaints...the staff is fairly nice and friendly and Dr. Lewis is very professional and nice.

It's a fairly good walk from the Fullerton L (it's bascially by PotBelly's on Lincoln), but sometimes hard to find parking.

They are pretty good of keeping on track with appointments too.

Everything about this office is just BAD! I made an appt to get my teeth cleaned- and all I got was 18 x-rays, a $3000 estimate, and pushed out the door. They are incredibly RUDE and defensive. The dentist was snapping at me when I told her I'd never been to the dentist where they examined me but didn't clean my teeth, and that I had never had such a high estimate for work I needed done, especially when I go to the dentist regularly. In addition, it's rundown, hole in the wall- I thought the chair was going to fall off and the xray machine looked like they picked it iup off the street.

Pros: Location

Cons: Everything else!
