The main floor houses the best sellers, magazines, a cafe for snacks, and tables to read or study. Upstairs business and technology has it's own section and downstairs you can browse music and movies. Go there to people watch or spend a Sunday afternoon exploring something familiar or something new. Prices are reasonable and staff is knowledgeable.

A good location, restrooms (always a plus when out shopping) with a good magazine section. The thing I look for in a bookstore is a great selection, they've got that down pretty well, a comfy place to sit and read all their magazines then split (they don't have that), bathrooms (already mentioned) and a helpful staff (lacking, to say the least).

I like Borders, but this one is always so busy. It seems like you can't even shop in there without having to step over at least 5 people who are sitting on the floor. But it's in a great location and has everything you expect from Borders, so I still go there.

Your typical Borders store, located in the heart of Lakeview. The cafe area on the street level is always packed! Once people sit down w/their coffee, book and Ipod, they seem to stay for the entire day or night. Lots of students go there to study. There are hardly any other places to sit in the store, so if you find a book or magazine you want to browse through, you have to sit on the floor. Otherwise the selection is well-presented and it's a nice bookstore to walk around and enjoy.
