Chancellor Hotel & Convention Center

I didn't have an experience in living in this hotel so I don't know about the room service. Yet, I went to this hotel many times for community activities. This hotel often holds community activities such as stamps and coins exhibition and I think that is very sweet. It also often has some clothes sales held by the dealers who get many out of date clothese from some famous brand companies, such as banana republic, express, AE, etc. The overall feeling of this hotel is old though.

This hotel closed in June 2005, but will reopen in summer 2006 as a Hilton Gardens, convention center and Homewood Suites hotel. It has a great location (adjacent to the University of Illinois) and the best convention space in Champaign-Urbana. The convention center facilities are not being torn down, but are being modernized and refurbished for the reopening.
