4 Stars: Fun place to stay (by Julie H.)

The Hotel Allegro was a fun and trendy place to stay in downtown Chicago. I enjoyed jazz piano in the lobby. It has good access to downtown attractions. The decor was unique and fun.

4 Stars: great value- great location! (by Patricia O.)

I am an ex-Chicagoan tranplanted to Texas, but my heart is still there in the Loop. This hotel is in easy walking location from many major attractions, wihtin blocks of virtually all the public transportation. You don't need to rent a car or use a cab! Also right in the very heart of the theatre district, with half price tickets available for same day on major breathtaking productions, some opening there, some touring, all world class! The staff is attentive, the decor fun, and an evening wine reception allowed us to meet others. I shopped all around and you will not find a better value for this location. What you save on cabs will help cover the room cost. The rooms are small but you won't be in there much, there is just too much else to do. Thye are "dog friendly" and many people had their pooches with them. They also lend you a yoga mat and have an in-room yoga channel, and are very eco-friendly with recycling in the room and watersaving features. It is my new location in Chicago, can't wait to get back.

5 Stars: My favorite hotel (by Brad N.)

I must say I am no expert, but I loved staying at Hotel Allegro. The prices were reasonable compared to other hotels, and the uniqueness of the place made it a very favorable stay. The location is convenient, and the service was great. It was our honeymoon, so they even comped our parking. Our room was great, and being in downtown Chicago during the xmas season was fun. We will stay there again!

PROS: Decor, price, service, location....
CONS: none

4 Stars: Small Rooms but Good Value (by Katrina K.)

For a dowtown hotel, the prices are reasonalbe. The location is great too - close to shopping, theatre and restaurants. Although the rooms are very small, the charming decor makes up for the size. The style is very hip and funky and the staff is friendly and attentive. Great hotel for the value.

PROS: Hip boutique hotel
CONS: Small rooms.
