This is by far my favorite French restaurant in all of Chicago. It has the most authentic Parisian feel. The owner/chef Didier is a master in the kitchen...skate fish that just melts in your mouth (and where else can you get skate fish?!?). Plus, he always makes a point of coming out of the kitchen and talking to each of the patrons. His wife and sommelier is a delight and very knowledgeable. I have done lunch, casual dinner, fancy dinner and New Years Eve here and can't wait to go back for my next visit.

It was unsatisfactory. Service was terrible we had to wait forever for every single thing.\r
Then, soup was cold and the food was tasteless. We really expected more for the price.\r
Not coming back!

We went on a saturday night, without reservations, but were promptly seated and the waiter friendly enough. We mostly had salads, which were large and filling. The interior was well-decorated and the ambience nice.

Cyrano's rode in on the wave of bistros-brasseries that swept ashore in Chicago in the mid-1990s, and it's still doing fine. Owner-chef Didier Durand understands the bistro genre quite well, having toiled in many over the years. Scoreā€¦
