Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe

This place is like heaven for chocolate lovers. They have a large menu of drinks made with chocolate, gourmet chocolates for sale from a display case and packaged chocolates for sale as well. There are tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your drink or you can take it with you. I had a chocolate milkshake type drink that was chocolate ice cream, mint chocolate candies and a honeycomb candy topped with whipped cream and a chocolate mint candy. It was very sweet and decadent, which happens to be just what I love - the sweeter the better. I also bought some "sand dollar" dark chocolates which came nicely packaged and tasted delicious. I had a hard time leaving this shop because I'm a chocoholic!

I don't really enjoy Starbucks, so whenever I see an out of the way coffee joint or coffee house that doesn't have tiny tables or uncomfortable chairs, I stop in to see what their drinks are. I was not disappointed and neither will you. The chocolate is amazing and the coffee is quite good as well. They have chocolate all over the place, displayed just to tease you. Very yum, a must have.

I happened upon Moonstruck by accident. I am a coffee lover and needed a good cup after shopping. I ordered a Mexican Mocha and immediately fell in love. The flavors of the coffee mixed with their mexican cocoa are truly amazing. They also have a dessert and chocolate section that is mouth watering. I haven't tried all the drinks and chocolates (yet) but every one of them that I've tried are exceptional.

This little cafe is a cute alternative to any old Starbucks while still offering the requisite coffee/espresso drinks plus a little extra. Their specialty is anything chocolate, and they display mouthwatering cases of chocolates of all varieties as well as serving up many drink concoctions infused with their rich chocolate. They have plush chairs along the windows for chatting with friends, reading or people watching along The Magnificent Mile.
