Two days ago my hairdresser canceled for my WEDDING which is in three weeks!! Thomas West was able to fit me in no problem!! So now I can focus on everything else wedding related!

I am 50 years old and have never had a stylist that cuts or colors my hair better than Ellie. She is easy to talk with about what I want and what she thinks will look the best. I started going there because it was convenient to my office but I have kept going because of the excellent results and all the compliments I get about my hair. Thanks Ellie, you're the BEST!

I saw Keli for a color, low-lights and color. I have never been more impressed with a stylist in Chicago! After living here 10 years and seeing several different stylists with ho-hum results, I have finally met my match! Great customer service, very friendly and great ideas for how to make my hair look marvelous! The woman who whined about the color should understand that semi-permanent color is healthier for your hair! Stop complaining!

I went here for the 31 days of beauty for $31 dollars. I decided to get my hair colored. Everyone seemed nice upon arriving, however, when I met with Kelli to do my hair, she NEVER mentioned that the color the salon was using is semi-permanent (washes out in 15 shampoos (3 weeks!!), and even LIED to me and said the color she was using on me was demi-permanent (lasts 6-8 weeks and what I usually use). She even tried walking away to mix the color without even showing me the swatch in the book, which I am sure was out of fear of me finding out the color was only semi-permanent. An associate of hers loved the color, so she asked Kelli what she used, and she said "Color Touch" by Wella. I went home and googled it, only to find out it's pretty much a wash out brand. I will never go there again, as I do not trust the girls that work there, nor the owner for not posting this in the ad. Watch out ladies!!!

About a month ago, I booked a Pretty City highlight&cut for the $59 special. Pretty City is a great way to get people to check out different salons and services.

On the day of my appt, there was a winter storm. The receptionist called me a couple of times trying to reschedule my appt (there was two at the time I was there - one who called to rechedule appt and one who cashiered). Since I already arranged my work schedule, I could not reschedule but finally agreed to come in a lit earlier.

When I got to my appt, I almost felt bad b/c I could not reschedule. Megan was my stylist, she did not mind the weather and was happy that I could make it in. Megan did a TERRIFIC job with my hair...she blew me away with her design in the color and cut. I told my friend about her and she made an appt right away. I just want to let everyone know that Megan is superb!

The receptionist(s) on the other hand, was snotty. In fact, I was charged $59.99 instead of the $59 special and she made me feel uncomfortable for keeping my appt. Intially she charged me $170+ and when I reminded her of the special, she decided to add on a few more cents (.99). My friend also got a similar response with the receptionist when she called to make her appt.

Beside the unfavorable experience with the receptionist(s), Megan did an outstanding job with my hair - i love it!

Pros: Megan - great stylist - she advices on color and cut

I love this salon. I've been there twice now and have been more than pleased with my results. I am naturally blonde and wanted to go brunette. It turned out beautifully. My stylist, Danielle, seemed very experienced and completely knew what she was doing. The second time I went, I trusted her to do something she thought would look good. She added subtle blonde highlights and touched up the brown and it turned out amazing. I always get compliments on it. Besides the amazing cuts and colors I've seen, the inside decor is beautiful, modern, and classy. I will continue to go to this salon and this stylist.

If you are looking for a colorist, run from this salon they have no idea what they are doing.
I have blonde hair and went in for low lights plus my gray covered. First it was all brown then they fixed it to give me dark brown roots and lighter brown overall. It looks like a hot mess!!!! The only plus is they did not charge me for this horrible color. Now I have to find a colorist who can fix this mess.

I am always so excited when I make my hair appointments!! Thomas West is a great place to socialize with your stylist, and when I sit in Krista's chair I'm comfy as can be!! I trust her with every strand of hair on my head, and I love how she can picture me in a fun cut and color! I don't even have ideas anymore - she just asks how I feel and takes it from there. I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a fun, experienced, skilled hair stylist. You'll feel like a million bucks when you leave the salon - I know I ALWAYS do!!

I was really impressed with this salon. Danielle did my cut and highlights. I love my hair! It might just be the best cut I have ever had. For the color I wasn't too sure what to get done, she consulted with me and it looks really great. She is new to the salon, but knows her stuff. I plan to go back.

Pros: great cuts

Cons: semi expensive (not for the quality of the cut you get)

Although I arrived on time,my stylist told me she would be 10 more minutes,which was fine but it was half an hour before she saw me. Thankfully, after that, the service and haircut were fantastic. She (Francesca) asked loads of questions and gave good advice about the type of cut I needed. In the space of 45 minutes I walked out of the salon with a beautiful new hairstyle and at a reasonble ( I think) $65. It is truly one of the best I've ever had. Looks like I'll have to be taking regular trips to Chicago to have my hair done now!

Pros: great location great haircut

Cons: poor time keeping

I was very pleased with my highlights. I saw Ken, a new stylist to the salon and he did wonders to my hair. I looks amazing!! Ken took time to give my hair the right tone and made great recommendations. The front desk however, is a little clueless. On my way out, they were charging me for a haircut, which I had not gotten. On the good side, they were quick to rectify.

I have never been more pleased with my hair! Angela was amazing!!! She gave me a very thorough consultation since i was a little nervous about changing my look, and it turned out better than i could've imagined! It was a little pricey, but I'm definately going back to her! I may even go back to get "Great Lengths" extensions, since she does those too. I highly recommned this salon....and i especially recommend this stylist! A+++

I have mixed feelings about this salon, I had an appointment on a Saturday. I understand that Saturdays are the busiest day in a salon, yet most of the staff seemed to be milling around doing nothing. My appointment was at 11:45, I didn't get into see the stylist until 12:15. The stylist did a great job, I left with vibrant color and fresh new cut, but I paid $230. Which seemed like a lot of money for highlights and a cut. I was also disappointed that they didn't seem to care that I waited for 1/2 hr.

Pros: Great Cut, Great Color

Cons: Expensive, Front Desk Help
