When I arrived as a new customer I brought along my x-rays from the previous dentist. Immedialty apon showing them to the receptionist I was told they were too old and would need new ones. I agreed without question because I knew my insurance would cover. What they didn't tell me was the only kind of x-ray they can take my insurance wont cover. Then the printer broke and the doctor ended up having to use my films I brought to do a very good detailed description of my procedure for four wisdom teeth removal. Then they tried to bill the ins. for x-rays, then me. Then I noticed my films were only 10 months old when I was there. Then they said their policy was one year and that the 04 on one and the 05 on another meant one year.....no matter what I said that was her answer...Then they let it go...so they said. After the collection agency letter I went back again and she told me that at the time my xrays were not good enough for the doctor to use that's why they took another. And she stood by her new story like a rock...she must have forgot that the receptionist looked at the date immediatly and said i needed new ones...she must have forgot the printer broke and the doctor used mine just fine.....I paid them eventually only because the the collection agency threatened to ruin my credit. I don't have the time to fight them in court. I don't think their practices are fair or their attitude is right. I speak mainly of my talks with the office management. Maybe this is just one bad experience but I can't image there's not more people out there upset because they were forced to do something not necessary. My insurance and dentist say that those films are good for 3 to five years. Generally full sets or panoramics are not taken or paid for less than 3, especially when you bring 10 month old ones with you.

PROS: the doctor may be the finest oral surgeon in the land but I'll never know.
CONS: a policy to charge every new cust. possible for x-rays your ins. wont pay
