Davis Flowers

I ordered a floral bouqet for our daughter on Feb.13 from Davis Flowers. The flowers were to be delivered on Feb. 14 for Valentine's Day. Our daughter didn't receive the flowers so I called the shop on Feb. 15. The woman who answered the phone said she'd contact the driver and call me back. I didn't get a call so I contacted her on Feb. 16. This woman was EXTREMELY arrogant and rude. She told me the flowers were delivered (which they weren't) and then, hung up on me. This is the WORST experience I've had with a flower shop! I recommend Saville Flowers or Flowers Flowers -- located in Evanston for your floral needs!!!

I was promised same day delivery for my Mother's birthday - not only did the flowers not make it that day but not for the next two either. The shopowner was incredibly rude and actually hung up on me twice when i asked where the delivery was - THIS PERSON SHOULD NOT BE IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY. 0 stars.

I would not recommend this flower store to my worst enemy. They sent the wrong bouquet to my sister, and when i called to ask why, they told me "well, what we sent was nicer than what you asked for, so what's the problem?" Then they hung up on me! They also signed the name wrong on the card, and said my sister would need to "bring it in to the store" so they could verify it?! What?! Awful service.

I ordered flowers from Davis and gave them my credit card number over the phone. I also gave them my cell phone number. They mistakenly did not take the credit card number correctly, and then DID NOT call me when the number did not run. So my mother's birthday passed by and no flowers were delivered. I called Davis the next day to ask what happened, and to ask why they had not called me. The lady on the phone hung up on me when I told her to cancel my order since the birthday had passed.

I tried to send my friend flowers after he got out of the hospital. I called at 5pm on Monday and ordered up an arrangement, and gave my VISA card over the phone. They charged my card, but as of today-it's now Wednesday and my flowers have still not been delivered. They claim to not be able to find my friends address--a number on a very obvious street not far from their shop, and every time I call--long distance from New York, I might add, I am told by the same woman "he's on his way.." which is obviously bullshit, as the flowers have not yet been delivered two days later.

PROS: None
CONS: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Davis Flowers is a good, but not great, neighborhood florist. They have a good selection of fresh flowers and arrangements with a helpful staff, which is nice. However, the last time I was there, I just couldn't quite find an arrangement that really stood out and ended up half-heartedly ordering something that I eventually called back to cancel. They're worth a try though if you're in the area.
