Third Coast is the best Guitar service center I have ever used. With a collection of guitars that are in the double digets, I need to be confident in who I take them too for repairs or tune-ups. Third Coast has a team of professionasl that not only do it right the first time, but are also damn great musicians. Weather it Andon Davis, Steve Gerlach or the other brillent tech's at third coast, my gear is in great hands. If you want the best, go where the professionals go, Third Coast Guitars

These guys seriously know what they are doing. I have had about 6 guitars worked on by them over the last couple of years and they have all been perfect. On their recommendation, I had them recently put a K and K pickup into my Martin HD28 and the thing sounds so good through a PA, it makes me want to cry. I have been to a couple other good repair shops in town, but I think these guys are the best.

I took my ESP Stephen Carpenter signature for repairs about a year ago. They replaced the jack with the wrong size screws so it was loose and on the verge of falling out, so I had to take it back. They filed down the nut so much that the strings would buzz. The changed my pickup heights to balance the output on all pickups. While in theory this sounds nice, my bridge pickup was much hotter than the rest, so in effect the tone was neutered because they dropped it so low and the relative height of all the others totally changed the character of my tone to flat and dead. It took me about an hour re-adjusting my pickup heights to get my sound back. On top of this the tech (Nathan I believe) was condescending when I criticized his work. \r\n\r\nI would never.....EVER...take my instrument anywhere near this shop again.

Best guitar and bass techs in Chicago. I've had a number of important repairs and jobs done by them in the last few months, including the following:\n\nSetting up my Rickenbacker 4003 bass, rebuilding the neck on my MIJ P-bass (including removing frets, sanding down the fretboard to level it, refretting, and finishing the neck all over again), and installing a somewhat misslotted Warmoth neck onto a Tele body. All of these repairs were incredibly well done, by far the best setups I've ever had done on my instruments. They aren't cheap, though-- a basic setup is around $45-50, and I've always had them done for $20 or less. The p-bass neck remake was about $250, but it was a lot of work and very well done.

I had a Les Paul that had fallen off the stand and cracked off the headstock. I'd have to get a new guitar. These guys put it back together again, painted the cracked area, and you could not even see where it had been broken. The techs were very friendly and it was only $200. I thought I'd have to get a new guitar.
