We purchased a certified pre-owned 2007 ML350 with low mileage in 2009. They showed us the carfax showing no accidents and told us the car was flawless. We just went to trade it in and turns out it had an accident 18 months BEFORE we bought it, devaluing the car approximately $4,000. We have pleaded with them to please help us, but they are unwilling to help, saying that it was the fault of carfax.

I would not recommend the Hoffman Estates Motor Werks Mercedes service department. In the two years I have owned a 2006 E500, I have needed to return to the service department four times for work that was performed poorly or not performed. Everyone is very pleasant, but the execution is unsatisfactory.

Was treated well when shopping for a hard to find Infiniti option package. The car was delivered in above average, new condition and its slightly higher price tag was offset by a better (above market) trade-in consideration for an eight year old GM vehicle. Some of their new car policy antics are a little over the top, where the service manager comes out of his office and presents you with a seemingly endless spiel about the merits of their service department. My Infiniti luxury sports sedan has superb mechanical reliability, so I do the routine maintenance at a local shop I trust. I returned to Motor Werks for a minor factory recall service appointment and was favorably impressed with their complimentary gourmet coffee and WIFI internet service for laptop toting, waiting customers. In short, they're a class act who don't mind selling you a competitively priced, high-end vehicle.

This is a fairly new dealership and I was told it is part of Motor Works of Barrington. I needed to purchase a part for my wife's car and when I walked in, a salesman was very nice and greeted me right at the door. I told him I needed to the parts department and advised where it was. Once I got to the part's department, there was no one there. I then rang the door bell and still no one. I waited a good 5 minutes and finally someone from the service department came and with a forceful attitude asked,"Can I Help You!". It took him another 5 minutes to find the part. The price was not more expensive than other dealers but the wait time was alitle more than what I expected to purchase a simple part. Maybe during the time I was there they were busy.

When I was looking to purchase a Mercedes, I looked at Mercedes Benz of Hoffman Estates. It's a newer dealer that opened only a couple years ago. They showroom was clean and had a few cars as it was smaller dealership. The salesman was very polite and nice and was never overbearing. He gave us a tour of the new dealer and even brought us back to where the mechanics was working on cars. There was a CL55 in the back and the mechanic was very nice and explain what he was doing for Service. I did purchase from another dealer but it's a good dealership experience overall.
