Great for an intimate dinner or hosting a larger event, they deliver! They also do catering for events, too. So, they have it all, great food, appetizers, cocktails, pasta and more much more.
Luby's restaurant is one I wouldn't miss. Their food is always outstanding. Don't miss their Prime Rib. . . However, whatever you order, you won't be disappointed. Besides just going there for an evening with friends, I've hosted two banquets. Both were handled beautifully and those that attended made a point of saying how great the food and service was. We'll be going back again.
I've taken my family to Luby's because it is conveniently located by the Oak Park Avenue train station. In my experience, Luby's is not necessarily the best deal when it comes to the pub and grill scene. The atmosphere is closer to a Sunday afternoon banquet than a casual night-on-the-town pub.

Nestled along the Metra Railroad Tracks is Lavery's Pub. It's a cozy dining establishment with a terrific menu. I've been there many times and have never, ever been disappointed with either the food or service. While waiting for my friends, I've sat at the bar and the service was friendly. When my friends and I have something to celebrate, we always meet at Lavery's. No need to go anywhere else! Quiet enough to carry on a conversation! Cobbini Salad is Delicious!
