Ziesk Bobbie A Dvm - Animal Hospital Of Streamwood

I worked at Animal Hospital of Streamwood from January of 2000 to November of 2002 (I only left because my father died and I had to move back to Texas) This Hospital is not the cheapest because they use the most up to date equipment and pay their employees what they are worth, unlike many clinics. In this economy their costs have risen, and as their costs go up, the consumers costs do also; although I know for a fact that they avoided raising costs as much as possible and sacrificed profits for clients pets health. When I relocated to Texas I worked briefly for a "cheaper" vet and was appalled at the condition and lack of interest from the owner in updating anything. Plus nobody can MAKE you feel guilty..you did that to yourself.

I've been going to the vet for over 3 years and every year it seems the prices for the different procedures go up. Not to mention this year especially I was made to feel guilty about not having my pet go through different tests. Of course on several occasions the vet's office employee didn't read my pets chart correctly and offered me services my pet already obtained!!! What really got me disgusted was when for a certain procedure that my pet had to undergo, the were asking for roughly $600. When I researched another low cost vet clinic in the area they quoted me at about $100 for the same procedure. A SAVINGS OF $500!!!In fact the woman offering me the quote said she has never heard of so much money being charged for this type of procedure. The Animal Hospital of Streamwood is an endless money pit where they COMPLETELY overcharge for their services and on top of it they make you feel GUILTY if you don't have enough $$$ for some "just in case this disease might occur in your pet scenario" test. In this economy their behavior is especially UNACCEPTABLE, and I'm surprised there's not more regulation to control such predatory and frankly THEFT practices.STAY AWAY from that vet and you'll SAVE HUNDREDS OF $$$ by researching other vet places in the area.

Friendly on the phone and it was easy to make the appointment. They knew who I was when I arrived and were prepared for my appointment. They talked to me about me and my dog. The vet explained everything and the nurses did a good job. The best part was my dog was totally relaxed and loved everyone there. Its the best vet visit we've had. We'll definitely be going back. Top notch!

My pets are my family. Animal Hospital of Streamwood has been caring for them for a long time. I am always happy with the care my animals recieve and the extra attention they give. They are a great staff who really care about animals and their people. They take there time, are very thorough, kind, and compassionate. When I leave the hospital with my pet, I know that we have recieved the best of medical care possible. That's priceless.

Very clean facility and the staff is very nice, however, be prepared for the hard sell on everything your animal does not necessarily need. I felt like I was at a seminar for time shares and could not get out of there. I will not be going back because of this. If you do go, double check your bill, they will probably try to bill you for petting your dog.
