I have been picking blueberries at Tammens' for many years with much success!! Berries are large, plentiful and sweet. This year, however, they were large and plentiful but very tart. I was disappointed especially when a local grocer had sweet blueberries on sale this week 2# for $3.69. Same price as pick your own at Tammen.
This has become our Families Christmas Tradition for over 20 years. Our Family is growing and the tradition is still a must. Great Trees, Great Price. The owners and help are very Family oriented. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Tammen may have a long history but was ill prepared this weekend to manage its volume of business and did not seem creative enough to overcome its obstacles. The line was TWO HOURS to check out. They did not have enough staff or scales to weigh the fruit. They should have offered patrons an option to pay a flat rate per bucket in order to get the line moving. Their was only 3 swings and a sand box to entertain all those family's children while waiting to check out - what a disaster. We will never go there again!!!!

Tammens has been around for many, many years, and can be depended on for both great blueberries in summer and Christmas trees in winter. The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. The prices are great too, and they even have free recipes for the blueberries when you check out! We try to go at least once a year, and there is usually an exodus of cars with trees strapped onto the roofs going back to the suburbs every November/December. a great tradition!
