American Family Fitness

this is the best gym around by far. It has everything you want. From the fluffy cardio room with all the new machines, to the old school free weight squat room, and a separate room for benching/upper body movements. Another problem I have always had in a gym is the fact that the dumbells only go up to 100 or 130. However, at this gym the db's go all the way up to 200lbs. Can't ask for much better than this gym and the price is just icing on the cake.

I love going to American Family Fitness! The people that work there are incredibly nice and know what they are talking about. There is a lot more equipment than most other gyms and there is a lot more space. They have a machine to work out every part of your body. (parts I didn't even know I could work) They offer tanning, racquet ball and they have a sauna! I love to work out and then tan right after to help me cool off. They also have a wide variety of energy drinks and supplements to help you before and after your workout. They have recently remodled the women's locker room and added a seperate bathroom. This gym has set the level of my standards and no other gym compares. I can't wait for the cardio kickboxing class to start too! This gym is a must see!

Family Fitness has more equipment than other places in the area. They offer many options to work with me. Their rates are the best in the area. Also they have RQ ball and my children love playing it everyday. Everyone who workout there is nice and very helpful, so are the people who work there. They just put in new carpet, remolded the sansa, and new equipment. The gym is separated to. They have a nice fitness room for people like me that do not like free-weights. It is also nice not having to wait to use a machine, at every other club I would have to wait like an hour to use one machine. Family Fitness has two or more of every machine so there is no wait. Go see for your self. Most of the people that something bad about it, has never been in there or work for a club that is not that great.

I gave this place 5 stars because it is exactly what I want in a gym.

The place isn't ever that busy. It is huge (many pieces of equipment I have never seen before), and has plenty of squat racks and free weights. It's a fairly dark gym when compared to most other gyms, and that's a good thing. I actually am quite surprised that this place has been open as long as it has (large building, lots of equipment, not very busy). Although it does have some small setbacks (lack of maintanence, small locker room), it is definitely a great place to move some weight around.

Bottom line: If you want to pump iron, this is the best place around.

American Family Fitness may not be the high tech gym some people are looking for but it does seem to be a local favorite amongst many bodybuilders and people jsut wanting a fun friendly place to fo workout.

American Family Fitness is a little different than most of the high priced disco type clubs that have popped up. Here you can still move real iron, sweat real sweat and even make some noise. Although the owners area little delusional about their gym, their passion is rarely found. They have been open 30 years and know what they are doing.
