I made the mistake of trusting their service department for a basic recall. The next time I opened my hood, I found out that they have overextended my hood and badly bent my bracket and could barely get my hood closed. How it happened was unclear because they completely denied it when I called to enquire about it and they refused to fix it. Their excuse was that the recall didn't even involve them looking under the hood, but I also brought in a complimentary offer for a basic inspection which certainly did necessitate looking under the hood. When I picked up the vehicle they confirmed that they had done the complimentary inspection and that everything was A OK. When I called the manager to discuss the issue though, he told me that their 'system' was conveniently down for the entire 48 hour period they had my car and so there is no way they would have done that inspection. One way or another, someone is lying. His 'solution' was to ask his technicians if they remembered my exact car and if there was an issue with the hood. Thanks for nothing. If my hood was bent prior to bringing the car in for service, shouldn't they have informed me? If it wasn't bent, then they caused it, in which case, shouldn't they have fixed it? I can't comment on the sales department, they might be fine, but I urge all readers to avoid their service department at all costs despite the limited availability of Infiniti dealerships in the area!
