1 Stars: Good Shop gone bad due to RUDE/BAD EMPLOYEE (by Robin G.)

I called for the first time and I will tell you the person on the phone (a man) was VERY RUDE TO ME. I would suggest that Mary, the owner fire him as he is clearly bad for business. I mentioned that I had heard that the previous owner Lynette had passed away and he wad not very apologetic or very nice, he said, "I don't do gossip" The guy was a real jerk! Maybe I will not bother going over there as I really do not like this person who spoke so rudely on the phone to a POTENTIAL CUSTOMER.

5 Stars: Unique Variety of Rare Supplies (by Cassandra C.)

Great customer service, always professional and humanistic. They go out of their way to assist the customer in the requests for supplies. I highly recommend this store when seeking individual customer assistance.

3 Stars: Not really a discount (by Puja C.)

I liked this store. They had a great selection of yearn, however, I felt that their prices were relatively the same (maybe even more) than some other stores in Chicago. Therefore, I didn't understand why they called themselves the discount store. Their sales people were very nice. It is a little inconvenient for me since I live downtown, but it's a nice place to go to for those who live in the area.

3 Stars: SMALL STORE AND A LITTLE EXPENSIVE (by Stacey A.)

I thought I would look at this store because of their Company name of Midwest "Discount" Yarn. I found no discounts or cheap products in this store, nor did I find a huge range of speciality yarns that you cant find in larger craft stores. I dont see the point in calling the business a "discount store" when it is more expensive than the fabric and craft stores in the same area. It is run by some elderly ladies which some of them are friendly and others are just arrogant and rude. I would not recommend this store unless you have looked in all the other stores in the area first to find what you want.

PROS:
CONS: EXPENSIVE
