Best for Volvo repairs! I've been going for 15 years and have a beautiful 1993 wagon to show for it.
It's true that they won't always call when they say they will, but they are honest and competent and will even find used parts for reasonable repair bills.
If it's really important to you to have a pleasant sounding receptionist tell you that your bill will be 4 jillion dollars, then go to a dealer, otherwise Euro Auto Plex is your ticket.

Our 17+ year old Volvo wagon kept overheating. We took it to another shop and they said it needed a $600 fix.

I remembered having passed Euro Auto Plex and seeing a bunch of old Volvos in their lot. I had them look at it and it was a minor wiring issue that occurred when my son changed the battery. They fixed it immediately and charged me LESS than their minimum fee.

I wouldn't consider going elsewhere.

Pros: Professional and economical. They KNOW Volvos.

Cons: They aren't closer to me.

I have a 17 year old Volvo, so I'm accustomed to getting work done. But never in all the Volvo shops I've taken her to have I been treated as poorly as I have here. In the past 3 months, I've taken my car here 4 times, and not once have I received an estimate before work was completed. Every time I have been promised an estimate before work was done. I went to pick up my car yesterday and brought it up to the owner John that this was the 4th time I've been promised an estimate and did not receive one, and he started yelling at me! Apparently he doesn't have time to call customers and see if it's ok that they go ahead and do work unless the work is over $50! Nowhere does it say that, and I've had work done for a few hundred dollars there on multiple occasions. No call. When I tried calmly to explain to him that it's not the $50 - it's the entire principle, and good business practice, he continued to yell at me and then said fine - I give you the work for free. That seemed like a sure sign of a guilty conscience. I didn't care about the $50 - I would have much rather had him just apologize and treat me like a human being. I really wanted to be able to take my car here, but after these bad experiences, I can't justify it anymore. I would not highly discourage anyone from going here if they want to be treated with the slightest bit of respect.

Pros: Not a dealership

Cons: Terrible customer service

First off, I am not a complainer. And shame on me for not being one until now. I took my car here 4 times, and NOT once did I get an estimate for the work that was done even though I received verbal commitments each time to get a phone call before ANY work was done. The last time I brought my car in, when I picked it up it had on a new light on saying something was wrong. I called and let them know right away, then took it back and they wanted to charge me $50 to replace a fuse they broke the last time it was in. When I diplomatically brought up the fact this was the FOURTH time they did work on my car without calling and checking with me first, the owner erupted at me saying "what - we are supposed to work for free? I don't have time to call you unless the repairs are over $50!" Huh? Then why no call the last time - when repairs were close to $300? Or the time before when they were over $100? Since when was there a $50 minimum price tag on doing an estimate?

What sucks is that I really wanted to like this place since it's conveniently located and it's not a dealership. But I should have learned after 3 strikes. All the owner had to say was "I apologize, I should have called." But instead he started YELLING (seriously!) at me despite me remaining totally calm the entire time. Totally, utterly unacceptable. I highly recommend going elsewhere for your Volvo repairs.
