Buon Appetito

I have been going in for a few months now. Each meal I have had has been great. The food is prepared fresh and the menu is seasonal. I like that I can see it being made and they are always willing to do a special order, even for things not currently on the menu. It is not overly cheap but the portions are large (I save half). It has always been very clean and friendly. The salads are especially great. I read the one review about the lasagna, anyone going in can see old-fashioned Italian is not what they are about. It is contemporary Italian.

i was in buon appetito located in the fair hills mall last month.i saw that the name was italian but once i looked at the menu , i asked myself:italians dont put chicken in their pasta,and also chicken parmesan does not exist in italy.i was looking for the famous bucatini matriciana,pasta e faggioli,chicken cacciatore.what a disappointment.so i decided to order lasagna,thinking lasagna must be lasagna,what a mistake,i tried to cut the lasagna with the fork but it was hard like a rock,so i gave it to my dog luckynextime i will go to burgerking.

This is a real treasure. Hidden in an older strip mall, I've driven past this place thousands of times. A friend told me to check it out! I'm glad I did...this is a great place to pick up real food for a good price. It's not exactly fast food, since every order is prepared fresh and to order. It's better, by far, than fast food. It is more like upscale, casual carryout. You can eat in (I did) and I really liked the decor...clean, modern with a touch of retro happening, too. I could easily imagine getting four orders of the chicken penne alfredo, a big salad, having friends over, serving this food and pretending like I cooked it myself!

This is my best new discovery in town. This restaurant was recently taken over by a very nice chef who I believe also does catering. You can call ahead to pick up your order, or just wait a few minutes while it's made to go.

Pro: Italian food - it is made to order, fresh, and wonderful. Even the salads are excellent. Con: the menu doesn't change very often, and the prices are a little high for what you get.

Every time I have gone here I really enjoy the food they have. It is take out Italian only but it is great. The food is authentic and always fresh made. The employees are very friendly and they give very large protions. The prices are a little on the high end for "fast food" but I think it is well worth it.
